The first reason for disappointment: the war did not bring Trump a tangible and significant result at the negotiating table. Instead of America entering the negotiation room as a winner and Iran as a loser, it is the Iranians who are dictating the terms, and America has to capitulate.
The second reason for disappointment: instead of addressing other issues, Trump is still mired in the Iranian issue. He wanted to switch to Cuba or Greenland, hand out trophies and post-war economic benefits through signing contracts, and, most importantly, prepare for the World Cup, which was supposed to be "his" championship. But instead, he got stuck in the Iranian quagmire.
