They made changes a month ago, have you noticed any improvement in discovery? I haven’t; if anything, it’s gotten worse. It’s also frustrating how easy it is to ban some creators, yet no action is being taken. Whoever thinks this will improve discovery is naive. It’s going to make things worse for creators who follow the rules, while bad actors will continue to spam.

@FNCreate @Krootzy What does “limited visibility” mean? This isn’t something new, we’ve been receiving that message for months now. So I don’t understand what has changed today.

If you get a warning for a very similar thumbnail you’ll be notified that if you decide to publish your island it may have limited visibility in Discover, including not being eligible for some rows. Once published, your Discover eligibility can be restored if you publish a new version with an original thumbnail.

This is now live. If your thumbnail is found to be identical or near identical to another island, now including your own, you won’t be able to publish. If they are very similar, you will receive a warning. More info here: fn.gg/content-preche…

What is your opinion on the new discovery change? One week ago, if your map had, for example, the third-highest CCU in its category, it would stay in that position for up to 24 hours or until another map surpassed it. With the new changes, however, the same map might only hold the third spot for about half an hour. If its CCU isn’t consistently among the top three overall, it drops off almost immediately. Because of this, the Sponsored row and the “New and Updated” sections feel almost useless.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult for creators to operate in an ecosystem where core systems aren’t consistently supporting them. For the past several days, the Zombie row in Discover has been heavily populated with Horror experiences, likely due to a recent algorithm change. As a result, many Zombie maps are losing visibility. Issues like this shouldn’t persist for multiple days. When rows are miscategorized, it directly impacts both creator performance and player experience. Discover is one of the most critical systems in the ecosystem. It determines how players find content. Changes that impact row classification should be tested and validated in a staging environment before going live to prevent issues like this. @FNCreate @TimSweeneyEpic

@FNCreate @Flak Why is no one talking about the recent discovery changes? CCU now seems to only count for about 30 minutes after you reach it, and then your map drops off. If you boost your map and get into the Updated or Sponsored row to reach a high CCU and secure a spot in your genre tabs, you only stay there for a maximum of half an hour. This gives new maps even fewer impressions, while already successful maps continue to get these spots for free. What’s the reason behind the Sponsored row, especially now that prices are so high? Two weeks ago, spending $100–$200 could get you a 24hour spot in your main tab, with at least a small chance to break even or make a profit. Now, even spending $50 feels unprofitable.

It’s funny how smaller tabs like Fashion or Prop Hunt are getting abused by scammers. Almost half of these maps don’t even belong there, but your system, @FNCreate , is too weak to detect it.

Big creators need to be held accountable. When someone like the RvB creator, who has made over $20 million, does this and faces no consequences, it sends the message that smaller, scammy creators don’t need to be afraid either. Epic needs to set a clear example. They should remove all of these maps or, even better, suspend monetization on his account for 14 days. That would show both him and smaller creators that this behavior won’t be tolerated. If it happens again, the enforcement should escalate, becoming stricter each time until it ultimately leads to a permanent ban. Same thing also should have happened to Sypher or Ali-A when broke rules. But epic is scared doing this to big creators. @FNCreate @TimSweeneyEpic

@FNCreate @Flak Can you please take down this guy’s maps? How many times do I have to report him? Once a scammer, always a scammer. He went from duplicating maps to abusing tags. His “Trickshot” map has been in the Fashion tab for the past month because of the tag he used. His “Ramp” map has been in the Prop Hunt tab for the past week. I already got the map taken down once, but it’s still showing up in the Prop Hunt tab because of the false tag he’s using.

Epic warns that if your thumbnail is too similar to others, your island can be filtered out of top Discover rows and you WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE for Sponsored Row. Yet here are two of the same exact thumbnails running in Sponsored Row and are all over top placement in discovery. Most creators cannot even publish a campaign if they trigger this rule. @ImmatureGamer Just one employee checking Discovery daily would have done much better. This is just a screenshot of the New Tab right now. Guess what, 90% of this maps are from spam accounts. Epic post means nothing. Things are exactly the same as they were a month ago.

🚨 Update on spam island crackdown Epic has now removed 18.5K island versions since Rule 1.9.1 enforcement began. More info coming next week via Creator Portal notifications. This is one of the biggest cleanup efforts we’ve seen for Discovery.

I genuinely DO NOT CARE what UEFN creators say in defence of Epic. This is ALL DUE TO UEFN and Epic's mass focus on collabs. The BETTER a UEFN map does, THE LESS it should be paid because popular UEFN maps ALWAYS will stay at the tops. Steal-A-Brainrot should NOT make 50k A DAY
