National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a day to remember and reflect on the impact the Canadian residential school system had, and continues to have, on generations of Indigenous communities, culture and peoples. We are proud to wear our orange shirts and raise the #EveryChildMatters flag at police HQ and divisions across the city to honour our Indigenous communities.

Reports of distractions thefts across the city are increasing –where a victim’s attention is diverted to steal phones, jewelry, wallets, or other valuables. Seniors, people with limited knowledge of English and those who appear trusting are being targeted.
