Scammers are posing as contractors, claiming urgent roof or chimney issues, then increasing costs as “new problems” are found. In some cases, they even return pretending to be Interpol demanding more money.
Remember: no police agency will ever show up to your house demanding money. If someone shows up uninvited with urgent repair claims, slow down and verify their credentials.

Today, Chief @TPSMyronDemkiw announced the arrest of a 30-year-old man after shots were fired at a restaurant in the Avenue Rd & Brooke Ave area on April 3. Four firearms charges have been laid. This continues to be an active criminal investigation.

After 15 weeks of training, our latest class of Mounted officers showed off their skills in a Musical Ride featuring a special live performance by our Pipes & Drums as part of the 140th anniversary of the @TPSMounted Unit. Officers from @OttawaPolice & @HamiltonPolice were also among the graduates who will now serve their communities on horseback.
