A qualified and talented speaker needs to give a talk about what it means to have ghīrah for the Prophet ﷺ and how we should interact with those who don't. Insulting Allah, His Nabi, as well as someone's lineage or wife are red lines for me.

I noticed widespread obesity the two times I was in Malaysia. 1. It’s extremely muggy and hot, like most of SEA, but its infra is super car dependent. So people are either indoors or driving. Minimal walking. 2. Their food is especially calorie dense and heavy thanks to strong Indian cuisine influence. 3. There is not much to do other than dining. Social activities revolve around eating out late at night (mamak). I know I’d get fat easily if I live there.

This is a stark reality i had to deal with leaving salafiya. A lot of my muslim friendships were conditional on my “manhaj”. I still love those brothers but I can never look at them the same. I don’t think it’d be much different if I was a deo or sufi either. Just the way it is.

This is cool - brother @Cobratate (back in late 2022) mentions that he became Muslim instead of Christian because "God, to me, is Strong". He may not have known this, but he pointed to one of Allah's names/attributes as his reason for accepting Islam.
