Fun fact: The Dead Sea Scrolls complicate the Protestant OT canon. They include books you reject and reflect a community that didn’t have your 66-book list. So if older = more reliable then why are books like Tobit and Sirach in the same manuscript tradition you’re appealing to? And if the canon was so obvious and self-authenticating… why didn’t the Qumran community have your canon?
