$TSLA is up 33% over the past month, one of its best months ever, and is now a 11.5% increase away from a hitting a new all-time high.

I really find it crazy that we're already worried about exponential robo-taxi growth when they're making 30 to 60 of these a day already and we don't have anywhere to put them. We're going to have plenty of robo-taxis. I don't think chip growth is a problem there. I don't think chip growth is a problem there.

“Hard truths” that are not actually truths - - but opinions. Opinions should be labeled as such. And IMO these “hard truths” often completely miss the point - like Bradford’s “potential merger” take. . The gating issue for Wall Street to rerate Tesla is IMO: 1) Tesla solving the chip constraint to enable the exponential growth in RoboTaxis and Optimus. 2) This is where the Terafab comes in - IE IMO don’t hold your breath waiting for a rerate on Tesla without SpaceX’s help funding the Terafab. Elon Musk has indicated that companies without their own fab will be restricted to a 20% YOY growth rate. 3) Tesla needs SpaceX (and vice versa). Tesla is already benefitting from SpaceX. I won’t be listening to your “opinions” as I do my own research and find the pessimism and negativity not applicable or useful for my investment thesis.

Bradford and I both are trying to seek the truth, and that can be very uncomfortable at times. We check our priors and evaluate what we got wrong. But we also look at what was said vs. delivered by the companies we invest in, Tesla being by far the biggest. It’s not stirring the pot for the hell of it, I actually think posting these kind of hard truths has a negative effect on our reach and Tesla “street cred”. But I also think it’s the right thing to do.

Bradford is not an innocent commentator Always remember that he worked as an options trader and now runs a financial analysis firm When you hear nothing for months and then someone stirs the pot, think twice.

Hey Christian, Two weeks ago (Apr 22) I sold 2 covered calls: May 22 $320 strike for $14 each (+$2,800 total premium). AMD has absolutely ripped and is now sitting at ~$461. I own 203 shares: ~103 shares bought Mar 2025 (already long-term) ~100 shares bought Aug 2025 @ ~$174 (still short-term until Aug 5, 2026) So if I get assigned on May 22, I’d be selling at $320 (effective ~$334 after the original premium). That would trigger long-term gains on the first lot and short-term gains on the second lot — costing me an extra ~$2,200 in taxes on the short-term portion (15% rate differential). I’m not super bullish anymore after this huge move — I think the stock could easily pull back to the high $300s. What would you do here? - Do the $400 Aug roll? - Just buy back the May calls and stay uncovered? - Let it get assigned? - Something else? Appreciate any quick thoughts — thanks man!

Seeing lots of people stuck in way underwater covered calls, Or other options selling positions that went sideways. If you are stuck on a position and don’t know what to do leave a screenshot of the position below or comment what it is and I’ll try to tell you what I would do if I was in that situation! *not financial advice of course*

@JOBhakdi Why didn’t you take Robinhood up on their transfer offer? It was great. I got 3% on $2m transferred back in oct 2024 and used that 60k and bought 272 shares of Tesla ($220).

Security lady made me take off my hat and Sun glasses at baggage scanning to run through the machine. I pulled another bin to put them in behind my stuff and never grabbed them. Fuck me. My favorite pair of sun glasses gone and a long time hat.

Tesla just more than doubled their available training compute with Cortex 2. I don’t think it would be appropriate for Tesla to pay SpaceX to rent training compute. xAI is now using Colossus 2 which has newer chips. When you’ve got extra compute you’re not using, you rent it out to make money. Anyone mad about this is just looking for something to be mad about.

What is best for “the mission”… 1️⃣ Tesla rent xAI’s Colossus 1 compute to accelerate training for v15 FSD, or 2️⃣ “Misanthropic” rent all of Colossus 1 compute. Elon allowed the latter. So is it true Tesla was unable to effectively use Colossus 1…

I might get hate for this too but I bought a Cybertruck. With a young family, safety was important and so is not polluting the atmosphere with $5 a gallon gasoline.

BS. Elon hasn’t be “cleared”, he willfully violated the disclosure law enriching himself about $140M over what he would have paid had he disclosed on time. The SEC $1.5M fine is a slap on the wrist. There’s no sugar coating this … this is as bad as Steve Jobs backdating stock option grants back in the day.

The SEC has settled its lawsuit against Elon Musk over delayed disclosure of his 2022 Twitter stake. Elon will pay $1.5M without admitting wrongdoing. Elon's lawyer Alex Spiro: “Mr. Musk has now been cleared of all issues related to the late filing of forms in the Twitter acquisition, as we said from the outset he would be. A trust vehicle has agreed to a small fine for being late on one filing.” The SEC had originally sought $200 million.
