25,000 people used @screenstudio last month. We’re still a team of 5. No investors. Every hire came directly from our revenue. There’s something humbling about that. But also something that’s been holding us back. It’s time to think bigger.

@pie6k @Leithden @screenstudio need additional software that I somehow need to interact with. E.g. then further editing with descript. But then I might need to go back and forth, as the "head cam" and the screen capture are meshed together and I'd need to change that in screen studio.

It seems so close, but then the last step is somehow missing. Also sometimes it feels like neither meat nor fish... it records, it edits, but I still...

@pie6k Now it only misses multiple sections being „redacactable“ at the same time 😅

Spent the last two weeks polishing the new rendering core. Some things I learned: - Green is perceived as lighter than other colors. - RGB is terrible at reflecting actual color luminosity. - You need gamma correction to add colors in a physics-accurate way. I'm a bit annoyed that polishing it is delaying integrating it properly with the app, but I hope it will be worth it.

@TSteckenborn As good as anything else I would build, n1 challenge is front end work we need a full stack effect framework, tanstack/ next etc are all nice but they aren’t a good fit for ai

Coding quite hard rewriting the screen.studio rendering core from scratch. It unlocks a lot of new possibilities, like fully fully dynamic layouts, split-screen mode, and many more. Also polishing it to cultivate our philosophy - "never let users create ugly videos."

Or does it ?via turbo? detect which one was changed on only runs deploy on these?

@JacobMGEvans I’d be interested in a broader topic: Alchemy + Monorepo + Deployment. So like github.com/backpine/full-… but more elaborate w.r.t. deployments and infrastructure. Specifically, how a monorepo deploys only changed parts, and how to generate preview URLs for each environment etc.
