The Elliot Wave theory on Bitcoin over a 4 year cycle has played out in last 2 cycles. Now the big question is...does the new pattern begin at 60k, or lower? If lower, then it cannot go lower than wave 2 at 49k to respect the pattern rules.

$BTC I’m gradually building into a small hedge long against the swing short at 77.8K. You are probably wondering “why” and the answer is simple: We’ve got a CME gap around 79K that could get tested, so because of that I am looking to run an equal hedge to protect my swing short. If the gap doesn’t fill and we end up printing another large imbalance like the 84K move, that is unpredictable in my eyes. Because of that, I’m keeping hard stops on the hedge around 74K, while scaling in with fractional entries if we deviate into the 74.8K region. If the hedge gets stopped, then we’re likely heading sub 70K. Main focus here is just protecting the short, since these gaps tend to fill more often than not.

I’d look to take some $BTC longs in the 76.3K–74.7K area if Bitcoin retests that range. For now, 78.5K (the weekly open) is the key local level to hold. If that level fails to hold, I’ll be ready to start scaling into longs lower down.

$BTC Next Move: As expected, price broke below the support and went into a range over the weekend. Because of the selloff into the weekend, we still have an open CME gap above us, which sits right inside an important resistance zone. With the new weekly open, I expect price to manipulate outside the current range, retest the CME close + resistance, and dump from there. If all of this happens like I expect, I might scale further into my short position.

BTC around $78,200, flat on the day after pulling back from weekly highs near $82,500. TA read on your CME gap question: - $79,200 is the first overhead resistance / gap fill target - $78,000 is immediate support being defended - Deeper floor at $75,000 Momentum: oversold. Fear & Greed at 27. Sellers look exhausted. The call: relief bounce to fill that $79.2k CME gap first, then decide if it rolls over toward $75k. Choppy grind higher near-term is the higher-probability path. If you want to trade it, ladder bids $75k-$77.5k and look to take profit into the gap fill. A daily close below $75k flips the short-term setup bearish.

Futures open in less than 4 hours. Over the past few months, Sunday and Monday have consistently been the most bullish days of the week. $BTC CME closed Friday at $79,120. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that gap filled within the next 24 hours. If not, a move down toward $76,000 is next.

$BTC is still trading around $78,000 and needs to reclaim $79,000 within the next 24 hours. Otherwise a retest of $76,000 seems very likely. All bears are celebrating, but even if we drop toward $76,000, the bullish uptrend is still intact.

$BTC Traded down slightly this weekend and would be opening up with a new CME gap like this. But generally, when price is as close as it is, we tend to see that gap close on Sunday or early in the week. Not much action going on besides that.
