🚨 NORTH TEXAS CITIES CAUGHT 🚨 Texas passed major reforms to lower housing costs 🏡 Now Arlington, Plano, Irving & Frisco are using new zoning tricks to drive prices UP and sidestep state law. Luxury mandates. 1,000 sq ft minimums. Industrial rezoning. That’s NOT freedom. That’s obstruction. ❌ The Texas Constitution protects PROPERTY RIGHTS — and it’s undefeated. 🇨🇱 ✍️ By: AriBargil & @ArifPanju at @IJ 📰 @dallasnews #Texas #Housing #PropertyRights

Thank you, Speaker @Burrows4TX, for including HB 24, SB 15, & SB 840 in the interim charges to monitor proper implementation! These landmark housing reforms are already working & will need to be strengthened further next session! #HousingTexas  #txlege

🚨 TODAY @dcexaminer: @cityofplanotx IS PRICE GOUGING YOUNG FAMILIES OUT OF EXISTENCE 🚨 #TXLege passed SB 15 & SB 840 to build more homes and cut red tape. Plano’s response? Straight-up defiance: ❌Minimum height rules ONLY on apartments (not offices) ❌Forced expensive LEED certification on new housing ❌Extra open-space mandates that kill small-lot starter homes All designed to make housing MORE expensive 💸💸💸and scare off developers. RESULT: “Plano ISD reports that enrollment peaked at approximately 55,700 students in 2012 but had fallen to about 47,800 by 2024. The median home sale price in Plano rose from roughly $292,000 in 2015 to around $584,000 in 2026.” #PlanoHousingCrisis #TexasBetrayed #YoungFamiliesPricedOut #SB840

NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WILL ISLAND A DATA CENTER! Except @Microsoft "Power will be generated on-site as the facility operates independently of the local grid, eliminating the burden on existing utility customers and protecting ratepayers' bills."

Extortion or “Self-Enriching” Neighbor? “McGhee Proposes that the [developer] pays $150,000 to his organization.” Meanwhile this particular housing opponent worked HARD to kill a @AustinHabitat project with 50% income restricted years ago— with sudden inclination to advocate for income restricted homes. @JackCraver article below 👇

IMAGINE telling your kids the American Dream 🇺🇸 is dead because a very few tyrannical homeowners hoarded it all. 😡 That’s the Texas reality we’re battling in Austin Home Magazine’s feature on @TXReasSolutions. From our Bay Area exodus of absurd housing rules to Texas ABUNDANT possibilities– the abundance team is WINNING 🏆 with the HOME Initiative, among many other policies we passed: 86% home permit surge, hundreds of family homes built CHEAPER. Demand abundance over GREED. #ReasonableDreams #txlege

52% PRICE DROP. READ THAT AGAIN. ⚡ @ERCOT_ISO wholesale prices fell from $70 → $34/MWh in one year. Why? MORE SUPPLY. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas data & 2024 report from Potomac Economics show solar + storage reduced artificial shortages. And as Our World in Data notes, solar costs have collapsed 90% in a decade. MORE POWER = LOWER PRICES 💡 That’s GOOD NEWS for Texas families. #ERCOT #TexasPower #EnergyPolicy #LowerCosts #BuildMore
