@vlinkFGC MK is the only fighting game that actually does rely on its single player mode to sell and it does succeed with casuals, but at the expense of the entire rest of the game. Notice how you never see fighting game fans talking about MK without including laughing emojis afterwards?

@JunoDeluxe I can't imagine it sold super well, and I was a supporter and got a some of the earlier bundles, once i got a alt that spoke to me, i had no reason to go constantly buy more. The tech issues and frustrating gameplay didn't help so eventually i gave up on it

@JunoDeluxe almost 2 years of rivals 2 and it still doesnt have any identity past "legal PM with less content and polish" it's a hard sell for plat fighter players to accept worse tournaments and a worse online experience than slippi and its a hard sell for casuals to get a "comp" game
