@BleedBNetwork I saw 3 quotes from ND fans on his on3 announcement. All three essentially said he might be the worst basketball player they’d ever seen. So thats untrue.

Story today in the Athletic where, for the first time to my knowledge, UK and JMI explain their new Champions Blue business model. Article says UK Athletics is first in country to basically become a private LLC and UK leaders quoted saying it will provide massive revenue

NEWS: Brad Stevens—who was atop the list of targets—has already removed himself from consideration for the UNC job, sources told @CBSSports. No surprise of course, but notable all the same as Carolina starts its search to replace Hubert Davis. Story: cbssports.com/college-basket…

What do we think about Mark Pope's quiet confidence in recruiting? This is from his radio program last night: “I’m limited in what I can say in recruiting. I don’t know if we’re ever gonna … listen, we’re really excited about where we are. Just hang in, guys. Hang in there with us. I think recruiting is gonna work out just great.” Does he have something cooking?

Pope says Cats haven't met goals, but making progress. ... "I'm not talking about meeting the standard of where we're trying to get. Clearly, we did not do that, but we are making progress in in the four years before we got here, we won one game in Nashville. In the last two years, we've won three games in Nashville, and clearly the seed hasn't been a good as good. But in the last two years, we lost to the number five and the number six team in the country to be to be put out of the SEC tournament. "In the four years previous, we lost to number nine, number 35 number 67 and number 81 to be knocked out of the SEC tournament. In the last two years, we've won three games in the NCAA Tournament. In the previous four years, we won one game total in the NCAA Tournament. That doesn't tell the whole story, but for the people that love Kentucky, they just want to know that we're making progress. Those are real hard, solid numbers that may be surprising. Go look them up. The winning percentage is higher. The NCAA Tournament success is higher. The strength of schedule is ridiculously more difficult, and all of that done in the context of having one of the most unfortunate health trends in the history of Kentucky basketball. And so in those sense, senses like we haven't met our goals, clearly, but we are making progress in that part of society. And I really bring that up because I think at times, our guys feel like, man, everybody says this is the worst it's ever been. It's not. "We're actually making positive project. We're making positive progress by the numbers and and I'm grateful for the work and the commitment of our guys, and we're going to keep going. And the thing is, we have to keep getting better and better and better as we as we grow this program to the point where we're actually hanging a banner. And this is all part of the process, and we have nothing in our offices, in our locker room besides hope and excitement for the future."

@universityofky @UKYpres @UKAthletics Cap and Barney have killed the University of Kentuckys athletics. The top two reasons weve come up short in so many areas starts with UKs poor, old, tired leadership.

Needs to cut expenses but doles out $950K plus $120 + $30 million bridge loan?? This is utterly ridiculous and who are the 30 people to date?? Credentials??

On his message to fans who are down right now... Pope cites growth and improvement the last two years. Says they've only played 5/56 games against P4 teams with a full roster. Notes that they still have a higher winning % in the last two years than the previous four, and it was done while playing a harder strength of schedule and facing really bad health misfortune. Clearly, we did not meet the standard, but we are making progress.

@JohnSan1981 @edselford @T_Hall12 Probably the best defensive team they played all year. They would beat almost every team in the SEC. Their defense was the best I saw all year

@keithtaylor21 Comparing what success hes had to the worst 4 year stretch of the Cal era as a measuring stick is not the goal as its still not meeting the standard. “real fans” want to win. “Making progress” when you had 22 million and got bounced in the round of 32 is not good enough.
