@SFHFT Our Prevention Award goes to @SouthNottsPBP & @NottmCityPBP for Opportunistic Flu Vaccinations @nottinghamhospitals The team used data to find unvaccinated patients attending outpatient clinics, who were texted in advance. 1249 people received a flu vaccine & 83% were higher risk

Our final BBC Radio Nottingham Make A Difference Award goes to… Carrie Maxfield ⭐️ She wins the ‘Bravery’ award for saving the life of a little boy whilst she was on holiday in Skegness. After noticing that the toddler was choking on his food at a restaurant, Carrie performed the Heimlich manoeuvre and administered back slaps until it became dislodged from his throat. The winner of the ‘Animal’ award is... POOCHES! (Pets Offering Ongoing Care, Help and Extra Support) 🐶 Therapy dogs Ruby and Bertie have been honoured at the BBC Radio Nottingham Make A Difference Awards for their work supporting patients at Nottingham University Hospitals, staff at Nottinghamshire Police, and students at Nottingham Trent University and the University of Nottingham 🐾 bbc.in/3XgSALy #BBCMakeADifference
