This will be an unpopular take but Izzo's portal approach is more strategy than Old Man Yelling at Clouds. He believes continuity is still king and recruits don't want to be portaled over. The free agency approach may be sexier, but it doesn't make his strategy "self sabotage."

If you actually watched Denham, instead of just hate watching him, he has done well running the transition offense. Which is important when the half court offense struggles
