Stacey King a few weeks ago on announcing:
“It’s a fun job, it never seems like work for me. Every night I go to work, win, lose or draw, I’m having fun… one thing I’ve always tried was if you couldn’t come to a Bulls game, you’re entertained on TV.”
This is a message I think everyone needs for their life.

Kind of funny how the LGBTQ crowd are reacting to Blake Treinen not wearing a pride colored hat on LGBTQ Pride Night.
I thought you just wanted to “live in peace.” That you aren’t trying to “force anything onto people.”
Meanwhile you’ve got rainbow 🌈 mafia wanting fired, calling him a bigot, demanding consequences all for refusing to wear a hat.
It’s forced compliance in all aspects. Nothing less. It’s why you cannot concede any ground to these people. It’s not about “live and let live” it never was.

@clayharbs82 Wow, someone in Chicago media who doesn't pander to the nauseating politicians here. Well done, common sense is nice to finally hear from a blue checkmark.
English

Wow!
Chicago had every opportunity to figure this out. The state had every opportunity to find a compromise. Instead, we got delays, finger pointing, posturing, and no real solution.
As a lifelong Bears fan and former player, I hate the idea of the Chicago Bears not playing in Chicago. That part stings. The Bears are part of the fabric of this city. But from a business standpoint, it just makes sense.
The NFL is a business. The Bears are a business. And at some point, ownership is going to do what gives the franchise the best chance to build a modern stadium, control revenue, create a year-round entertainment district, and stop waiting on politicians who can’t get out of their own way.
This is not just a Bears decision. This is a Chicago and Illinois failure.
You can criticize the McCaskeys. You can criticize Kevin Warren and the process. But if another city or state is willing to make it easier to build, easier to operate, and easier to grow the value of the franchise, then eventually the business is going to go where it is wanted.
That is the part Chicago politicians didn’t seem to understand.
You don’t keep iconic businesses, franchises, or institutions by assuming they have nowhere else to go.
Eventually, they do. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears

@thescorechicago @paschutz Chicago media are as bad as the politicians here.

.@paschutz: "Lawmakers kept telling me, 'Look, constituents come up to me and say help me with my gas prices, help me with my energy costs.'
"I think the Bears miscalculated the political reality. They were going to have to do more work than they did to persuade people."

While we had hoped to get this done before adjournment, it became clear when HB958 was filed in the early morning hours that the votes simply weren't there. That's nobody's fault. It's just the reality of trying to move something of this size, complexity, and consequence in the final hours of session.
The truth is that proposals of this magnitude take time. Members need time to review details, ask questions, hear from stakeholders, and understand the long-term implications of what they're being asked to support. This proposal came together late in the process, and many members simply did not have enough time to get comfortable with it.
Even though the last 24 hours felt incredibly urgent, as they always do during the controlled chaos of the final days of session, it's important to remember that while HB 910, which the House approved five weeks ago, carried an immediate effective date. The proposal that passed this morning does not. Its effective date is January of 2027.
That’s an acknowledgment that there is still time to continue the work. There is still time to answer questions, refine concepts, build consensus, and continue discussions with the Bears and all the stakeholders involved. The legislative pathway remains open. The Senate has a House bill available for consideration. The House now has a Senate bill available for consideration. The vehicles are there, and the conversations are ongoing.
I remain optimistic. We all share the same goal: finding a solution that works for the Bears, works for taxpayers, and earns the confidence of the General Assembly.
This morning was the end of session. It was not the end of the conversation.

@thescorechicago @DavidHaugh Another nauseating take by Haugh and thescore, shocker.. who thought he'd be the new bernstein..

Kevin Warren was hired by the Bears with one priority: get the stadium project done. Now three years later without any results, should his job be in jeopardy?

Everyone posting rumors about how Tom Hardy was “fired from Mobland” for being rude and hard to work with, attacking him and his character. I’ve met the man and spent time with him on set. I have NEVER met an actor or person that was more humble and selfless than he was. On set he knew everyone’s name and treated them all with same kindness whether it was director Andy Serkis, an extra, or a low-level PA. When we left the set of Venom he stopped to talk to and take photos with everyone that asked. Not “take a photo and get away from me” but he genuinely cared and took the time to listen to people. When we got into the SUV to take us back to the hotel, Tom literally sat on the floor between the seats to make room so no one had to wait or didn’t have a seat. No one is perfect, and I don’t know what happened on the set of Mobland, but take it from someone who’s had people lie and make up rumors about me to get clicks, don’t always believe everything you read online.

Gov. Pritzker says Mayor Johnson has “no plan” to keep Bears in Chicago: “He has come up with no plan at all about how the Bears would end up in the city of Chicago. So, that's problematic. I'd love them to be in the city, but we are three years in now, and he still has no plan.”
