@DunphyFiles So for the kids go with younger actors, but the adults go with ones that are the original actors' similar or older ages? Doesn't make sense
English

@getFANDOM So half the movie is still animated but we call it live action, you’re welcome I guess.
English

@DiscussingFilm I’m not sure why we needed a remake of Moana already

@alt_w_v_g Some warranty policies are more inclusive than others or have “Cadillac” versions of the plan. However more of the newly offered plans are way more limited than they used to be.

The dishwasher broke
My wife said "good thing we have the home warranty"
I said nothing
I've been paying $62 a month for three years for this moment
$2,232 for the peace of mind that when something breaks someone will come to the house and tell me it's not covered
I called
47 minutes on hold
They sent a technician
Arrival window: Tuesday through Thursday between 8am and 5pm
My analyst delivers faster than that
And he still hasn't fixed the gridlines
He showed up Wednesday at 4:47pm
Looked at the dishwasher
Opened the door
Closed the door
Touched something underneath
Said "not covered"
90 seconds
That's faster than my bank lets me prove I'm human
I said "what's covered"
He said "the motor"
I said "what's wrong with it"
He said "not the motor"
I said "convenient"
He said the service fee is $75
I paid a man $75 to open my dishwasher, close my dishwasher, and say two words
My analyst could do that
And he's not even that good
I called the warranty company back
38 minutes on hold
Requested the policy
129 pages
I read all 129 pages
Because that's what I do
The coverage section is 34 pages
The exclusions section is 58
The business model is right there
In the margins
Where nobody reads
Except me
Page 91 says "all mechanical and electrical components essential to appliance function are covered under standard service"
Page 104 excludes control panels
A control panel is an electrical component essential to appliance function
Their own document contradicts itself 13 pages apart
I highlighted both
Sent them an email
Subject line: "Plz fix. Thx."
Attached both pages
No other context
Took them three days to send a technician
Took them 4 hours to call me back when I found the loophole
Funny how that works
They covered the repair
Waived the $75
And I canceled the warranty anyway
Because a contract that contradicts itself isn't a contract
It's a suggestion
My wife said "so we're canceling"
I said "we're canceling"
She said "and the dishwasher"
I said "fixed. They're covering it."
She said "how"
I said "I read the policy"
She said "all 129 pages"
I said "the exclusions section starts on page 47. The coverage section ends on page 34. There are 13 pages between them where they hoped nobody would look."
She looked at me
Then she said "you're unbelievable"
I said "I just saved us $744 a year and got a free dishwasher repair. I'm not unbelievable. I'm thorough."
She looked at the ceiling
The dishwasher works now
The warranty is canceled
And the policy has been read
By at least one person
Probably the first
Make common sense common again
Plz fix. Thx.

@joewheat27 They’ve seriously been the most frustrating 20 plus win team to watch.
English

@kateiswell @Hoopss I think they call it the "need new towel indicator" so you get annoyed about it folding so you get a new one. Clever ploy I guess.
English

@Hoopss That’s the part that shrinks and makes the towel so it doesn’t fold right.
English

@TonyLaneNV If she's not eating the peanuts or touching the peanuts they really don't pose a threat to even those with severe allergies to them. Its not like them existing in and around her is the problem. She wants to force others not to eat peanuts for her convenience.
English

THIS IS WILD…
Passenger says United denied a simple request that could literally save their life.
Severe peanut allergy.
One exposure = possible fatal reaction.
All they asked for?
A small buffer zone on the plane.
Instead… they were told to basically deal with it and “email the company.”
On a packed flight where people are eating inches away…
That’s not a minor issue.
That’s life or death.
Do airlines have a responsibility here… or is this asking too much? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

@osere_x The default assumption is people will compare the 6% win ration to a 13-15% black males in the US population, but they don’t consider that 34 of the winners were not even American. So you can’t use that number, but the combined number of all winner countries, which is about 6%
English

@JCalebJones @nonregemesse What you aren’t considering is that not all actors who have won are American only. Thus you need to take the combined percentage of all countries of people who have won and that equates to about 6%. Did you know 34 wins were non American males?
English

In America, the black population is about 14%. The Best Actor award has been presented 98 times, to 87 actors.
6 out of 87 is about 6.8%, which is not disproportionately high overall.
Since 1964 (when Sidney Poitier won) there have been 63 best actor winners. 6 out of 63 is 9.5% that is not disproportionately high either.
English

Isn’t it disproportionately high given the population size?
ً@osere_x
6 oscars award in 98yrs is crazy 💔
English

@Mtuatwy @FiredUpCoug Man, why do you have to call out Amy like that!?
English

@FiredUpCoug You left out:
Yoy believe they are all wrong and cannot go to the celestial kingdom. You are gods only chosen people. You Amy speak sweetly of them but it is in the same way people speak of pets, looking down on them as lesser.
English

6 Wild things Latter-day Saints believe about other Christians:
• They’re our brothers and sisters.
• We celebrate their faith in Jesus Christ.
• We’re grateful for all the good they do in the world.
• We love the service they provide in communities we share.
• We admire their devotion to family and fellowship.
• We’re glad to call them our neighbors and friends.

@AP4Liberty I get being against the purity cult and how some libertarian republicans fall victim to it at the expense of passing legislation that moves the liberty movement forward, but aren’t Trump et al guilty of this by trying to force Massie out because he’s not “MAGA enough” for them?
English

The Trump vs Massie fight escalated this week.
Donald Trump held a rally inside Massie’s own Kentucky district to back a primary challenger.
Libertarians need to decide something:
Are we building a movement that can win elections, or a movement that just yells at everyone?
Coalitions win. Purity cults lose.

@Rep_Stansbury Says the party that holds plenty hostage themselves when it suits them. Grandstander and virtue signaler. Performative politics peddling fear as always.
English

Donald Trump says he’ll block every Congressional bill until we pass the SAVE Act. Basically, saying he wants to hold us hostage unless we disenfranchise millions of voters and their access to the ballot box. So, let us be clear.
We are NOT 👏 going 👏 to 👏 pass 👏your 👏 voter suppression bill.
Period.
English

Rent, profit, and interest aren’t theft. They come from voluntary agreements involving property, risk, capital, and time.
Pretending only physical labor creates value is childish economics.
And if your rule were true, the first thing it would condemn is welfare, because that actually takes money from someone else’s labor by force.
So the slogan doesn’t expose anything profound. It just exposes how little thought went into the premise.

English

First of all, he's a liar. I'm receiving over $4k a month based on under $400k in total contributions. Receipt below.
Second, it's a tax, it's not an account. Why do you think you should be earning 5 percent interest on taxes that you paid. Taxes fund the government, they don't accrue in a separate account for you.
The fact that benefits are determined by contributions leads a lot of people to think it's their money. It's not.

English

@AreWeDoinThis @RepThomasMassie @accordingtowoz @TPAction He hasn't changed his principles. Trump on certain things has made huge changes yet they go unnoticed.
English

@RepThomasMassie @accordingtowoz @TPAction You’ve gotten into us. You used to be one of the good guys. An honorable man. Since your wife passed away, you rapidly changed, and not in a good way. Even your appearance changed. So only you can answer as to what happened. As iron sharpens iron…it’s time to face the truth.
English

@LDSLaw Sorry, couldn’t help myself. I love a good call back for a joke. I agree fasting from politics is a good. Many of us fail to realize how much we actually have in common when we aren’t taking sides on political issues. We are more united than we think, we just have to see it.
English

Folks, I've been mulling over a potential personal experiment. I've been considering a 30-day freeze on all things related to politics.
I'm a political animal, so I'm not sure I can do it. But I also know that we sometimes need to try new things.
I saw a post that said, "Hey, remember when we didn't f****** talk about politics all the time, and everyone was a lot happier?"
Really got me thinking. There's so much out there that transcends what we're being force-fed. I'm curious how I will feel at the end of a 30-day politics fast.
Anyone interested? Who's in? It starts now.
