Night Prayer to St. Joseph: "St. Joseph, guardian and protector, watch over my family tonight. Keep our home in your peace, guide our hearts in in your humility, and shelter us under your faithful care. Pray for us, that we may rest in God's love and wake renewed in His grace. Amen"

Saúl Zelaya will soon become Catholic in the Diocese of Brooklyn. In this week's installment of "Up Front & Personal," he shares what his journey to the faith has been like: "I was ashamed when my friends talked about their sacraments because I did not have mine. I lived like this for many years... One day, I finally gathered the courage and went to St. Gabriel Church in East Elmhurst... It was there that Jesus touched my heart." bit.ly/4bBFbom

FROM @CurrentsNews: 🐟 A pasta con sarde pro-tip from Pastosa Ravioli in Brooklyn — go with the bucatini, and don't forget the toasted breadcrumbs! This traditional dish is served in Italian households for the Feast of St. Joseph. The breadcrumbs, representing sawdust in a carpenter's shop, symbolize his humility and faith.

💙A father's love, a trusting faith — March 19 marks the feast of St. Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus. In Italy, the feast marks Father's Day as well. And in homes, restaurants, bakeries and churches across the Diocese of Brooklyn, faithful are honoring the saint who trusted in the Lord and allowed Him to guide his fatherhood journey.

March 18 is Trisomy 18 Awareness Day. When former Tablet journalist @melissamissye learned her unborn daughter had the rare genetic condition in early 2024, doctors warned the baby might not survive. Instead of giving up hope, she tells @Jessica_Meditz and @JessEasthopeTV of @CurrentsNews that she chose to trust in God’s plan, asked for the intercession of St. Joseph, and focused her faith on the time she had with her daughter. bit.ly/4sjYVEk

One of the oldest and most globally beloved Catholic hymns, “Be Thou My Vision,” dates back to the sixth century. Its story begins with St. Patrick, who was kidnapped when he was 16 years old by pirates and then sold into slavery in Ireland. Today, it continues with you: listen to a curated Spotify playlist by The Tablet that takes you through its musical history. bit.ly/40Be8EM

In his first St. Patrick's Day homily, Archbishop Ronald Hicks of the @NY_Arch paid tribute to Irish immigrants who came to New York. @PaulaKatinas highlights how he reminded those at Mass that New York City is still the arrival point for immigrants today: “As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called not to see them as strangers, but as brothers and sisters, welcoming them with respect and walking together in faith.”  bit.ly/3PdQQCo

"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand." Wishing you and yours a blessed St. Patrick's Day, from The Tablet and @CurrentsNews.

@bishopofbklyn's family ancestry can be traced back to County Sligo, Ireland. His grandfather was the first member of the family to arrive in New York in the 1920's. And in 2026, the bishop of the @BrooklynDiocese marched with the county in the 265th New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade.
