Hi Alfie, can you keep anon please mate. I’m writing this in the hope it might help someone make a call and get that much needed help. I just wanted to get a message out that it’s never too late to ask for help. I served in the Gulf war, diagnosed with PTSD a few moths after getting back. I had some CBT but ended it to get a good posting! Now, 30 odd years later, I’m suffering with bad memory, fatigue, and I’m very emotional! Long story short, I’m now on some medication, I’ve also been in touch with Combat Stress, who’ve been great. I’m start a course “Cope better with PTSD” in a couple of weeks then getting some EMDR treatment. In the past I’ve always been told there no medication suitable and how I am is the best it’s going to get….. So I’m so pleased to finally get some help. If anyone out there is having problems….reach out and get that help…..

Having worked closely with @CombatStress following on from my marathon last year, I have been helping them build their outreach to gamers and develop new fundraising initiatives through gaming and streaming. If you don’t know who Combat Stress are, they a UK Veteran charity who specialise in mental health treatment for ex-military personnel. I have met people and seen the effects that they have been able to have on their lives and it is truly a brilliant cause. That said, I am looking for creators of all sizes, big or small, to bring on board for a fundraising opportunity to honour the 80th anniversary of the Dambuster raids. I will be working directly with creators who sign up to help them with their streams and fundraising. I will be going round to streams and hanging out with people who participate, whether in game or in their chat as well as taking their best moments and making a really cool video of everyone who gets involved for my channels and the Combat Stress channels. This is a great opportunity for lots of creators; whether it be from the feedback perspective, the opportunity to have more eyes on your content or to break into/level up your charity streams in a fun and cool way. How do you get involved? If you are a viewer/community member, please tag your favourite creators below and try to get them involved (don’t badger them too much, be nice), but also, when I am highlighting creators closer the time, it would be great to see you guys coming through to show your support!
