@Ferovsky935 i will say i definitely want to see how the game would look with meter gain reduced, like this would directly affect neutral skips, damage and pressure drastically. Almost every character in this game can get 100 meter from just 1 combo, and dump that meter into their wincon

I have a lot to say about UNI2 problems, and I think most part of the community who played other versions for years and are still playing UNI2 until today recognize those problems. But please don't discourage new players and don't throw misinformation around. Thanks.

불량 매치메이킹 사례 특정 유저를 욕하려는 글은 또 아니고 매치메이킹 관련 사례를 이야기 하자면 한국에선 A1_ 으로 시작하는 나나세 플레이어를 만나면 랭크 불가 판정을 때리고 그냥 게임을 끕니다. 이유 -> 해당 유저가 게임을 안해줌 ( 원인 모름, 핑에 민감할수도 있고 그냥 그 사람이 싫어서일 수도 있고, 잘 하는 사람이 싫어서? 라기엔 나랑은 또 해주기 때문에 그건 이유는 아닐듯함. ) 문제는 트레이닝 대기를 해도 이 사람과의 핑이 괜찮은 편인지 무조건 이 사람과 매칭이 되고 이사람은 절대 게임을 안해주는데 계속 이 사람만 걸림.. 커스텀 매칭을 통해서 회피하려고 눌러보면 알겠지만 커스텀 매칭을 통해 사람을 구하는게 굉장히 고역임. 차라리 블랙리스트라도 있으면 추가해서 서로 피해 안보면 되는데 피해를 보는 과정이 무조건 생김. 그렇기 때문에 랭크에 이 사람이 잡히면 다들 그냥 트레이닝 모드를 종료합니다. 모두 그 사람을 미워하지 않았습니다만, 최근엔 정말 이 사람만 잡히기 때문에 이제 다들 그 사람을 미워하는 지경까지 왔습니다. 그냥 안할거면 특정 유저를 거를수 있는 기능이라도 생겨야 합니다. 최근에 또 GGST를 하면서 느끼는데 GGST에서의 150ms 와 UNI2에서의 150ms 는 차원이 다른 경험을 제공합니다. UNI2는 상대와의 핑에 따른 네트워크 지연을 자동으로 설정해주는 시스템이 없기 때문에 발생하는 문제라고 생각. 사실 그 이전에 GGPO 롤백에 대한 적용이 제대로 되어있는지 조차 의심 스럽네요. (버그가 너무 많으니까!) GGST는 핑 표시를 1,2,3 으로 해두었습니다. 유니도 비슷한 조치가 필요할거라 봐요. 4 이외엔 절대 안하려는 유저가 굉장히 많습니다. 근데 4라는 조건이 좀 힘들어요. 이건 유저의 인식 변화도 필요하다고 봅니다. 지역설정 문제. 도대체 왜 존재하는지 모르겠습니다. 스팀판은 심지어 같은 일본끼리도 같은 에리어로 묶이질 않아서 매칭이 안되는 사람도 있다고 합니다. 지역 설정이 PS판과 달라서 생기는 문제같은데 이유를 알 수가 없어요. 패치를 했다고는 하나 트레이닝 대기중 매치거부되며 메뉴밖으로 튕기는 현상은 아직도 존재합니다. 다시 들어가서 시도하면 계속 튕기고 이를 해결하려면. 그냥 네트워크 모드를 종료한뒤에 다시 키면 더이상 튕기지 않습니다. 비슷한 이슈로 그냥 게임이 평생 매칭이 안되다가 혹시? 해서 네트워크 모드를 껐다가 다시 키면 그때 사람이 잡히는 경우도 있습니다. 과연 이러한 문제를 이겨내고 68,000원이라는 높은 가격에 이 게임을 사서 버틸 가치가 있을까요? 대부분의 사람들은 네트워크를 제대로 경험해보지도 못한채 이 게임을 그만둘 것입니다. 이 게임은 높은 가격을 지불할 용의가 있을만큼 빠져들면 재밌는 게임입니다. 격투게임에서 가장 중요한 매치환경을 출시 몇년이 지났는데 아직까지도 방치하고 있다는 사실이 정말 슬프네요.

Hyde is by far the strongest fighting game character I have ever played against in a fg. I've never played a character who has this many options and this little weaknesses. He might not be the best character in UNi rn but he is fundamentally on paper the best I've played against

@ericpqmor i played a set against 3k, and this was the convo afterwards that sums it up pretty well. another issue i had, which is one i had with aka as well, was just being stuck in the corner. if my back is to the wall with cs&meter and i still dont know what to, then the mu stinky imo.

Thoughts on Nanase. I'll start with a TLDR; Nanase does have strong options, but she is not entirely a 'shape goes in the square hole' character. You may not like to hear this, but nanase has to work a lot harder in some mu than people give this character credit for

Im ngl, really don't like this patch, seems very tone-deaf to what the community wants. I deadass don't know what they are doing with this game anymore and it's kinda sad? At least Ogre is super buffed now lol.

i can’t imagine being someone who picks up and learns a fighting game and just being a netplay merchant 99.9% of the time. not even watching vods of tournaments, not learning the history and lore of the scene, and not even knowing who the innovators of your own character are.

Thought about this again and I’m still salty. Nanase players, you need to stop pretending that you’re playing clean footsies. You’re playing a scramble character where you win a lot of scrambles. Why play a character with 35 tools and cry they’re not all busted. Fuck you.

It's definitely easy to be mean spirited and make fun of Jaidlyn's UNI commentary but at this point something needs to change. To start, I think speculating about how she got the job is wasted effort and we need to criticize the actual work itself to show why it's bad.

@SpineAcht I agree there many other uni commentators who put in the effort and the work that I think deserves it more

I try not to be toxic or hypernegative with my critique but Jaidlyn has legitimately no clue what is happening in the UNI blocks she commentates and has nearly 0 connection to the scene as a whole. There are so many other decorated commentators from our scene we'd rather hear.
