The Mayor of Charlotte is demanding people stop posting this reminder of the lovely innocent Iryna Zarutska butchered by a savage on Charlotte public transit. He was on probation by a liberal activist judge.

@DapiwhyDpy @MercuriusFilius To rephrase the question, it's only asking how much gross profit the two transactions yielded. It's $300 each so $600. It's not asking about retained earnings as a starting point, so no need to get hung up on "how much did I start with?".

@MercuriusFilius The answer is 700$. How much did i start with? 900$ How much did i end up with? 1600$ 1600$-900$ = 700$. I dont care what happened in between, at the end, i now have 1600$.

Can we at least have a discussion on the definition of “income”. A common definition of income is the earnings remaining after paying taxes and expenses. Why can’t my tithing, for a monthly period, be based on my net income (taxes already removed) minus my mortgage payment and a car payment? Others could itemize more or even less and just pay tithing on Gross Income. (I have done that in the past for a bit) I think every family, or individual should consider what their “income” is and pay tithing from that amount

My Bishop confided in me that many members are claiming they are now unable to pay tithing. This will not end well. I recommend doing anything needed to pay tithing. Stopping the payments of tithing can mess up your life real quick!

This is brilliant! The Church constructed replica temple rooms in the Salt Lake Temple visitors center as a "permanent temple open house" for guests to experience.

“I grew up in Arizona, served a mission in Mexico, and went to college thinking I had a pretty clear path for my life. Then I met my now wife Victoria, and everything changed in the best way. “She always knew she wanted to be a doctor. Pediatric neurology isn’t an easy road, but it’s who she is, compassionate, steady, brilliant, and drawn to help kids and families through the hardest things life hands them. When she got into med school in California, we packed up and moved. “Stepping into her dream together was an easy choice. I wanted to support her the way she has always supported me. And honestly, watching her work and sacrifice and love people like she does has strengthened my faith more than anything else. “My path hasn’t been as clear. I’ve tried different directions, learned a lot, prayed a lot. Some days I still feel like I’m figuring it out. But I do know that God doesn’t measure timelines. He measures love, humility, and the way we show up for each other. “Supporting her doesn’t shrink my purpose—it expands it. Our callings from God can look different, and that’s beautiful. I’m building my future too, but I’m grateful that right now, part of my purpose is cheering for the person I love most as she steps into hers. “There’s not one 'right way' to build a family or a future. For us, this is ours. And it’s sacred.” — Nate

Just an FYI on this. When I was 23 (13 years ago), I had every single login for church social media, moderated and posted. I helped answer questions or false doctrine posted on the church's social media (mainly Facebook at the time), posted things, helped people meet with missionaries, etc. I had no oversight from a general authority. It was IMMENSE trust. These social media posts, even though they're on the church account, are nothing more than some employee for the church. President Oaks, an apostle, etc., did not write them or be like, "Make this post!" If the same person said it in Sunday School, and someone was like, "Idk if I fully agree" nobody would be like, "WELL YOU ARE DENOUNCING PRESIDENT OAKS HIMSELF AND THE ENTIRE CHURCH!" So, just something to keep in mind. Maybe times have changed and these posts go through a process of vetting, but back when I ran things, they absolutely did not. Not really making a statement ON the post itself, just something for people to keep in mind with respect to the post and who is actually posting it.
Grandpa Joe@GrandpaJoeSux

I see people acting like critiquing this social media post from the church X account is the same thing as denouncing Pres. Oaks as a Prophet. It is not. In fact, our church is built with the idea that disagreement is a healthy way to navigate the pitfalls of the world. Do you think it’s just symbolic that we can vote to “oppose” various callings? The whole idea is, if we see something wrong we should voice it so we don’t go too far down the wrong path. This post is not good, and many of us told them why (some in not so healthy ways, but that’s their problem). There’s some group or individual in a church marketing department that thought this was a message worth telling the world. They were wrong.
