@AtlasEmperor One person from a community is a lone sicko. The moment it is more than one person involved it has a culture. If a group(more than one) is not pushed back against it speaks to a cultural problem. Yes, priests in Christian church too.

@ThomasSowell I don't think his evidence that the civil rights movement slowed down prosperity is solid. To me it can also be explained by the growth being sharper at the beginning because of the low initial base then as they come up each bit of growth is more difficult.

How are people supposed to choose how and where to allocate resources when people can't even agree on definitions? If you were in an actual socialist community you would get booted out.

@SAVoltolin Nobody is against voluntary socialism or communism. But once your group gets big enough it will likely tear itself apart. Unless you are in a magical group where everyone shares the exact same values and desires.

The statement “there is no such thing as a trans child” is nonsensical. What this really means is “there should not be such a thing as a trans child”. This is, then, an argument for conversion therapy, a practice condemned by all child safeguarding and welfare agencies.

My favorite ruling class lie is that "individualism & competition are rule #1 of human nature." But, from hunter/gatherers to agricultral societies, the ONLY way humanity advances is through high levels of cooperation and collectivity.

@ajanbahu1 @SarahTheHaider I see tons of truck drivers, couriers and whatnot. To be honest the only thing that has pissed me off enough times to think it might be a thing is the way some stare at South Asian women I'm with. My wife is half Paki and her and her cousins get starred at all creepy.

Aside from the visa abuse issue, it shouldn’t be surprising that the backlash is focused so intently on Indian diaspora—their success is so wildly disproportionate to their numbers, it is bound to chafe/unnerve.
