@SpaceX @NASA Successfully crashing a spacecraft into an asteroid... and then sending the asteroid to Ohio. Bravo!

It worked! DART successfully shifted the orbit of not one, but two asteroids around the Sun after Falcon 9 launched the spacecraft in 2021 → nasa.gov/missions/dart/…

@SpaceX @NASA Interesting timing of this: METEOR CONFIRMED! #NASA says the fireball flying over Ohio skies was caused by a small asteroid nearly 6 feet in diameter and weighing about 7 tons - moving 45,000 mph! The $meteor then "fragmented" over #Ohio. Thanks Dart?

Struggling to wrap my head around this. Tim Tebow gave Congress a map with 338,000+ unique IP addresses in the United States that have traded/shared images of children being sexually abused in the past 6 months and NOBODY is talking about it.

The most important fight of my life isn’t in the ring. I’m not fighting for a belt. I’m fighting for our health.  Processed foods are killing us. We have been lied to and we need to eat real food again.

@ronrule @donedall @elonmusk 1. This is software that can be transferred in a few clicks. 2. The issue is that Elon is basically saying they’ll continue to raise the sub price as it gets better. Which means we could wake up the day after purchasing and Tesla can change the price to $2k per month.

I really don’t understand this mentality. “Dear Jeep, I bought a Rubicon five years ago. Please transfer all of the Rubicon features to the base model I’m about to buy, because I paid for them once five years ago.“ — how everyone complaining sounds. The options that came with my Model Y (2022) were for that vehicle. If I trade it in for a new one, I wouldn’t expect the new one to have those things unless I paid for them for that vehicle too. A subscription SOLVES the transfer problem everyone is complaining about. You’re paying to always have the latest thing, and when you trade up you’ll still have that thing.

@donedall @elonmusk This is my dilemma as well. At this point, I can only assume they absolutely will not let us transfer it more than once. Then it will be phased out and we will be forced into the “you’ll own nothing” platform.

It's also hard to commit to spending $8,000 on software that offers no guarantee I can transfer it to a different vehicle, whether in 2 years or 10 years. What benefit do I get in the future as a customer if I buy it for $8,000? Too many question marks that you and the company don't want to clarify.

@TheSpitBucket @elonmusk Until one day you wake up and he’s decided it’s $2500 per month. I agree it make the car safer than anything else on the road, but …. That should lend to them being more apt of it being included in every Tesla and that’s a reason to buy one.

@Bubblebathgirl @elonmusk Not for $2500 per month…. And they could easily wake up one morning and decide to do that. As well as lock you out from even starting the car if you don’t pay it. It’s a stretch. But as a Tesla owner and this recent announcement, I don’t put it past them.

@elonmusk Sell more cars, not subscriptions. This straight up lends to the “own nothing” platform. Thought you were better than this.

@elonmusk Absolutely horrible decision. As a Tesla owner this is greedy and disgusting. Tesla’s being in FSD is one of the safest things you have. You should make it more affordable as the tech advances and everyone will want to own one once they see how incredibly safe it is.

This is a ridiculously stupid decision. The best thing Tesla could have done is to simply update the autopilot stack to use the FSD stack. If they could get FSD to operate functionally equivalently to autopilot, but it would have the same intelligence and same safety as FSD that would be a triple win. The roads would be safer, Tesla would be more likely to have a conversion to FSD, and customers would have a better experience. But instead customers are going to have a worse experience, the roads are going to be more dangerous, and especially with them upping the price they're going to be less likely to have conversions. Every single day it really feels like Tesla doesn't give a fuck about their customers because in their perfect world in 5 years they won't have customers, or at least customers that own things
Branden Flasch@brandenflasch

Autopilot has been part of the @tesla brand promise for 10+ years - removing it and forcing people to get a $99/month FSD subscription will not only make Teslas less safe, but disappoint many people buying with the assumption of base AP. This is the wrong move.

Hot take: Supervised FSD will be free and included in all Teslas. Unsupervised FSD will be at a premium monthly subscription price.

Would you pay $200/mo for $TSLA FSD where you can sit back and relax while going about your drive without any hiccups along the way? 👀

@KamGuo08 @GrindeOptions What about $300, then $500, then $1000. Ever seen a company lower their subscription cost to current customers? Doesn’t happen. It always goes up and unfortunately that’s what he’s saying. It truly sucks for us Tesla owners.

@MDrNnrzc4vD39b6 @ManlyMarshall Ask Elon if he cares though. This announcement is pure greed. He can raise the price at any time, just like cutting off the one time pay. They can also start taking away features and putting them behind a pay wall, at any point… which they just proved with lane assist.

If Elon tries to pull a "subscription tier" move on people who already paid for Lifetime, the backlash will be legendary. You bought the promise of full autonomy that should include unsupervised by definition. If he tries to rebrand it just to squeeze more cash out, that’s going to alienate his most loyal supporters. 😤🚫

@M1keeuk @GrindeOptions Problem is Musk is saying standard FSD is going to raise. So he could raise it to the cost of a car payment; for it to nag at us.

@GrindeOptions only if i can send it empty to do airport runs and family pick ups! If unsupervised still requires a human in the vehicle at all times, its not worth 200 dollars, Supervised FSD nagging is not that BAD 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@lovetesla2030 @GrindeOptions Problem is 5yrs (60 months) x $99 = under $6k. Most of us plan to trade up before 5 years. At any point he could say it’s no longer transferrable.
