Hey, we’ve been keeping an eye on the meta since the patch, and wanted to give a heads up on changes we are planning for Break and Fury. We like what Break Bonus changes are doing for folks across most of the skill spectrum. Most basic combos grant more Break now, and this change has added more back and forth to matches in 2X. However, we understand the feedback that advanced BnBs are juicing the Break meter too much, which causes Fury to make games feel volatile. We agree with y’all. We will be making adjustments to the top-end of Break Bonus to make exceeding the 15 second break threshold less punishing. In addition, we will be reducing Fury damage overall. Appreciate the dialogue, and will update y’all with details closer to the patch. ty - yohosie

15 years. That’s how long I’ve been playing videogame for. Across those 15 years, I’ve achieved the max rank in more genres of mainstream competitive videogames than anybody else in the world, ever. MOBA’s, MMO PvP, auto-battlers, card games, strategy games, and literally every type of shooter ever: TacFps, arena shooters, hero shooters, battle royale. Every genre of videogame I have ever touched, I have never not reached the top%. I have never given up, I have never failed. No genre has been able to get the best of me. Now, all of that is subject to change. The two mainstream genre’s I have never touched, 0 seconds of play-time, happen to also be widely regarded as two of the most difficult of all. Fighters, and RTS games. Today begins my journey into fighters. The end goal? Challenger in 2XKO. Top 100. I don’t know how long this will take me. 0 seconds of playtime was no exaggeration, I literally have never played a fighting game in my life. I don’t know how difficult this will be. Fighting games aren’t like other competitive games. There is nobody else to blame except for you. The ultimate skill diff. I only know one thing for certain. I won’t give up. I will become good at fighting games.

Overall I really like the patch. This game has improved in so many ways in such a short time. Shoutout to the team past and present who spent so much thought and time working on it.

Just saying, 2XKO “launch” was less than 3 months ago, and after this upcoming patch the game has already improved SOOO much. Hats off to the devs for continuing to cook and breaking the recent fgc trend of bad patching🫡 Can’t wait to begin the Teemo/Akali grind tomorrow

You should be high ELO at League... Your friends stop being good enough to hang, your queue times go up, your agency goes down. Every person below you judges you if you aren't permanently on your A Game. Season after season RIOT artificially moves people closer to your level, lowering the value of the competitive ecosystem you have enjoyed for years and built an intense love for. The rewards begin to vanish, until there is just an in-game recall left. Your time invested isn't even worth a 20$ backpack anymore. An intense competition for zero. Despite the writing on the wall you keep playing. You lash out at strangers. You live and die off of nerfs/buffs to your champion. With every rank up you need to play more to maintain it. You neglect your friendships. You begin to hate every person that happens to be good enough to play with you. And it's optimal to hate them, it's GTO to expect them to fail. And 45% of the time, by design, they will. You don't have time to play their role, to empathize with their struggles. You are known as the best "X" player on the server, and you are too deep in the hole to change. You keep soldiering on, until finally you are completely alone. Finally, you look back. The kids aren't really getting into LoL anymore. Your champion is weaker than it's ever been and you didn't even make a dime. You never had a streaming career, and your friend's list is just forgotten acquaintances from an ELO you hate. You know it is only downhill from here. You keep logging in and you keep queueing. You mute all, you go next, the time blurs and you continue to lose sleep. You miss the gym more and more. Your season 2026 1000LP Challenger rank slowly declines along with your mental health. You are a League of Legends high elo player. And now no one cares about your rank but you... And before long... no one will care about you either, just the way RIOT intended all along.
