Never fails to amaze me the difference in the quality of trains on the main rail line between Edinburgh and Glasgow and the line which runs through Livingston to Airdrie to Glasgow, which I normally get. That line is clearly the poor cousin.

Earlier today I was quietly sitting by a bed in the stroke unit. The patient I was visiting had fallen asleep (I have that effect on people) so I just sat, and watched a nurse going from patient to patient taking bloods and doing procedures without gloves and without washing their hands in between patients.

@1goodtern Here’s the difference….traceability, and an unbroken chain of checks and measures to a standard, with individual accountability. Mind you…..it wasn’t full of sick people. But the point still stands…..there has to be a culture backed by systems that work.
