For most intents and purposes, it is already single player. MSQ dungeons can be done with NPCs filling out the Light Party. The only reason the FC got all cunty about raiding is because that’s the one and only purpose for that FC existing. If you want to join a hardcore group, you need to be equally hardcore. Casual FCs will treat you like gold, as will Duty Roulette. You will never have a bad experience that way.

If they actually managed to turn FFXIV into a single player game I would play it. I played the game originally during A Realm Reborn & its community was a nightmare to deal with. I remember trying to join some guild so I could do endgame, these mfers had me applying like it was a job application. Asking me when I was free, my strengths weaknesses, what I was looking for in a clan long term & whether I could support them further. I missed one “raid practice” cause I went to a concert in real life obviously & they kicked me out & blocked me. 🤣 they treat the game like it matters more than real life. Fuck that, anyway if they do single player I’m all in. As long as I don’t have to deal with people like that ever again. They wanted me to work it as a second job irl with no pay? Fuck outta here it’s a video game

You only need to rush through everything if you absolutely require the two new jobs. Every other feature should be available immediately. How long to get up to date depends on how deep you want to go. There’s the Main Scenario Quests for the main story. Each job has its own storyline. Many optional dungeons also have their own story. I literally just started over as BLM and shifted to SAM as fast as I could. With XP boosts, spent about 24 in-game hours, got up to BLM L30 and SAM L55. MSQ is only L35. Or simply fart around and explore the 21+ combat and the 11 crafting jobs.

Maybe. In the USA, there is a locally produced Kewpie (that looks like the 12 fl oz. bottle you have) that is a different recipe than the 450 g bottle in Japan. Look for bagged version in the import section. :) Japanese has “monosodium glutamate”, while USA has “yeast extract”. We do this because Americans are afraid of MSG, although yeast extract is essentially the same thing with different words.

They know their playerbase is fast approaching 40-50. Our knees sound like celery. We have early signs of arthritis. Our necks and backs lock up if we sleep weird. When we stand up after doing our dailies we get room spinning vertigo. Let us hope for one button combos lol

IMO, it’s not uglification but ego and laziness. Voice actors are hired for their talent, not beauty. The developers then motion capture their facial expressions to make a digital copy, often badly. If the actors weren’t hired to “star in a AAA blockbuster” and if the art department actually did “art”, it wouldn’t be an issue.
