@AlboMP Curious. What Muslim values bring us together? When looking at Muslim majority countries women have fewer rights than men. Are these the Muslim values you talk about?

Social cohesion isn’t something we take for granted. It’s something we build together, through respect and understanding. His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa is in Australia, supporting our strong and diverse Muslim community and the values that bring us together. A global voice for interfaith dialogue, and a leader in the fight against extremism and hate, his work continues to bring people together across faiths and cultures. Thank you for meeting with me in Sydney this morning.

The Australian government is running Chinese language ads encouraging foreign non-citizens to access the “First Home Owner’s Grant” - subsidising non-citizens to buy homes in Australia even if they have property overseas. The First Home Owner scheme allows non-citizens to purchase homes in Australia with a 5% deposit, regardless of whether they own a home overseas. The Australian government acts as a guarantor for the remaining 15 per cent of the deposits, allowing the first homebuyer to avoid paying lenders mortgage insurance (LMI).

The capabilities of Ukraine’s defense industry mean millions of FPV drones per year, our deep strikes, our interceptors, and millions of shells. Ukraine has its own long-range missile weapons. Not just in development, but a real force already at work. Flamingo and Ruta, Peklo and Neptune, Palianytsia and Vilkha – we can already be proud of all of this, but we will not stop here for sure. These are only our first steps – the industry will grow, and the enemy will feel it. Everyone sees the historic long-range reach of our drones – striking 1,750 kilometers from our border. There will be more. And this is not about records – it is about justice that will find evil anywhere in the world. And our Sichen, Liutyi, Morok, Bars, Obriy, and FP are proof of that. From the congratulatory address to the workers of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex (1/3).

We also have experience in guaranteeing maritime security – objectively, the most current in the world. No one else has carried out missions like Ukrainians have in the Black Sea. When people talk about security in the Strait of Hormuz, it is often a theoretical discussion. Those who speak about it have not conducted such operations themselves. Ukrainians have. We have fought an enemy fleet, air strikes, and naval mines – we have been through all of it. And if partners offer us cooperation on equal footing, Ukraine can help. Our naval drones, Sea Baby, Magura, and Sargan, are well-known, and this is Ukraine’s export offering too. As is our artillery, which we produce at the largest scale in Europe. As are our shells, which are now growing in numbers. As is our armor, which becomes more effective every year. All of this is delivered by our defense industry – our defense industry professionals, Ukrainian arms makers. I thank everyone involved in this. In production halls, design bureaus, laboratories, test ranges, in production and repair – every day working for Ukraine. A strong Ukraine because it can defend itself. Modern, because it is changing the rules of the game. A Ukraine that matters because it can help others, and a Ukraine that is, in many respects, indispensable. All thanks to our experience, expertise, and technology. From the congratulatory address to the workers of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex (3/3).

I’m in the industry, a manufacturer. This is not true. There are resin shortages due to the conflict although we still have resin and are manufacturing in all our plants across Australia. HDPE is the hardest hit as its resin utilises oil more so than PVC. Everyone is rationing and there has been panick buying like you wouldn’t believe. It’s worse than covid (as in how busy we have been) we have had the single highest price rise I’ve seen in 24 years doing this job. It’s real there are shortages although there is pipe around.

The future is already on the front line – and Ukraine is building it. These are our ground robotic systems. For the first time in the history of this war, an enemy position was taken exclusively by unmanned platforms – ground systems and drones. The occupiers surrendered, and the operation was carried out without infantry and without losses on our side. Ratel, TerMIT, Ardal, Rys, Zmiy, Protector, Volia, and our other ground robotic systems have already carried out more than 22,000 missions on the front in just three months. In other words, lives were saved more than 22,000 times when a robot went into the most dangerous areas instead of a warrior. This is about high technology protecting the highest value – human life. From the congratulatory address to the workers of Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex (2/3).

JAPAN: Thousands gathered to protest the construction of the first mosque in Fujisawa. The proposed mosque would be much larger than the nearby Shinto shrine, an act of provocation. “We don’t want a single mosque, or Muslim cemetery here!”

VP Vance just spent 21 hours ‘negotiating’ with the Iranians and just said this in the press debrief: “I won't go into all the details, because I don't want to negotiate in public after we negotiated for 21 hours in private, but the simple fact is that we need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon, and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon.” We’re suddenly trusting Iran and relying on their word again like the Obama administration? If all we’re hunting is a commitment, how is it any better than the JCPOA? We can’t even secure their commitment to not enrich uranium? What about handing over the “dust”? What about the Strait? I thought we totally obliterated them and had won no matter what? What in the hell are we doing? Makes no sense.

BREAKING: The first round of direct talks has concluded. Both delegations are now exchanging written texts to confirm points agreed upon. Iran's four non-negotiable conditions (Tasnim): 1. Full sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz 2. Complete war reparations 3. Unconditional release of blocked assets 4. Durable ceasefire across the entire West Asia region Iran's conditions appear to be even more maximalist than before the war.
