I've worked in MMA since 2002. Most of my friends are people in MMA. There's not a day I don't talk MMA to someone. But I do know there's a world outside cagefights. Unlike these guys. In no fucking world are Ilia Topuria or Alex Pereira any where CLOSE to the level of fame Gina Carano (Star Wars! Deadpool!) or the biggest star in UFC history, Ronda. Not even close. Last year, Illa and Alex couldn't do 1million PPV buys COMBINED. They are big for UFC stars in 2026. They aren't top 5 historically. If you want to make a case a fight at a crazy venue, the White House, will draw in of itself, okay. But also make sure you acknowledge a great many people won't watch it for the Trump glazing.

Quick NBA history note… Only six players had at least SIX top-2 MVP finishes — Kareem, MJ, LeBron, Russell, Wilt and Bird. Only Russell and Bird finished top-2 for 6 years in a row. Jokic went 1-1-2-1-2 the last 5 years — and has a legit chance to finish 2nd this season.
