🚨 World Press Freedom Day: a testimony from Gaza journalist Fadi Al-Wahidi. Shot on October 9, 2024 in Jabalia refugee camp while covering the war for Al Jazeera, he was clearly marked as press when he was struck in the neck by Israeli fire. The attack left him paralyzed. Colleagues who were calling out to him were killed. Despite a life-threatening spinal injury, his evacuation was delayed for months amid repeated denied transfer requests, until he was finally evacuated on February 10, 2025 to Cairo and then Qatar for treatment. “There is no press freedom… my injury is the proof. But my voice is still here.”

🚨 EXTREMELY ALARMING: John Kerry at the WEF just said the quiet part out loud: "Our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to hammer "disinformation" out of existence... We need to win the right to govern so we’re free to implement change." They don’t want to debate ideas. They want to delete them. The elite’s war on free speech is now on full display. RETWEET if you still believe the 1st Amendment is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Let me know what you think, and SHARE THIS so that others may too!
Noah B. Price@TrueOnX

🚨 Klaus Schwab just admitted the quiet part out loud. "The world will no longer be run by superpowers like America… it will be run by the World Economic Forum and its stakeholders; BlackRock, Bill Gates, and the rest of the global elite." They're not even pretending anymore... National governments? Out. Your freedom? A subscription service. Your future? Managed by unelected billionaires in Davos. This is the Great Reset in real time... a corporate takeover of the planet. Wake up. Push back. Share this before they memory-hole it.

Israel supporters really expect you to be intimidated when they mob your replies trying to ratio you. Like oh no, the people who defend bombing hospitals think I’m bad.

Israel is committing genocide, the vast majority of genocide scholars (of whom I am one) and human rights organisations agree. @ZackPolanski is only stating a well-established truth. The campaign against him is a campaign of genocide denial.
Saul Staniforth@SaulStaniforth

Melanie Phillips accuses @ZackPolanski of inciting hatred because he says Israel is committing genocide. Israel is committing genocide, & when it comes to who actually incites hatred, lets remember that mass murderer Anders Breivik quoted Phillips multiple times in his manifesto

@BevFloyd10 NSW Police have travelled to Israel for training and advice on surveillance and biometrics. NSW & Israeli police & IDF also work closely with Israel's nascent 'CSG' paramilitaries in Australia, CSG. As do the AFP. Ben-Gvir is Minister for Israel's police. timesofisrael.com/naftali-has-no…

It is truly unbelievable that in the UK, a doctor is more likely to lose their medical license for opposing a genocide than actively participating in one.

World Press Freedom Day: a meaningless day for journalists under the bombs of the West's allies. The RSF "Press Freedom Index" listing shows how corrupt the so-called journalist projection/advocacy orgs like CPJ, RSF, etc, are, with Israel—the serial killer of journalists in Palestine and Lebanon—only listed at # 116. The number of Lebanese and Palestinian journalists slaughtered by Israel is hugely downplayed organizations like RSF (Reporters Without Borders, CPJ (Committee to Protect Journalists) and others. RSF lists Ukraine at #55, and makes zero mention of the 7 Russian journalists killed by Ukrainian drones or precision missile attacks in 2025. Nor dos CPJ list these slain journalists. It’s obscene that these NGOs “concerned with press freedom” continue to largely whitewash Israel, as well as Ukraine. In January 2024, I wrote about Reporters Without Borders downplaying the number of journalists in Gaza killed by Israel: At the end of 2023, Reporters Without Borders (Reporters sans Frontieres, RSF), the international organization ostensibly advocating for freedom of information, released its annual report. The paper massively downplays the widespread and deliberate targeting of Palestinian journalists in the Israel-Gaza war. The report’s titled, “Round-up: 45 journalists killed in the line of duty worldwide – a drop despite the tragedy in Gaza,” excludes most of the Palestinian journalists killed by Israel in 2023, particularly in the past few months. It claims 16 fewer journalists were killed worldwide in 2023 than in 2022. This doesn’t reflect reality. The report claims that (as of December 1, 2023), only 13 Palestinian journalists were killed while actively reporting, noting separately that 56 journalists were killed in Gaza, “if we include journalists killed in circumstances unproven to be related to their duties.” Other sources put the overall number of Palestinian journalists killed in the enclave much higher. The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on December 1 that 73 journalists and media workers had been killed, citing to the Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS)… ingaza.wordpress.com/2024/01/09/rep… In 2024, I wrote about then (then) over 30 Russian journalists Ukraine has killed since 2014. The number is closer to 40 now. ingaza.wordpress.com/2024/07/03/ukr… Meanwhile, the EU continues to sanction journalists for their reporting, while EU talking heads chirp about Press Freedom. What an absolutely maddening farce.

Parenti talks about this in his famous “yellow” lecture. Denial of education and literacy is denial of a full existence, of dignity and opportunity, of one’s very humanity. The less you know about the world, and the less you can learn on your own, the easier you are to control.
Zito@_Zeets

Beyond the arguments, it’s just really sad that most people in this country, from kids to adults, can’t and don’t read. Literacy is so essential to a dignified and intelligent life, and there used to be a national push for it not too long ago. And now it’s damn near gone.

"This isn't the same country James Baldwin talked about." In 1965, Baldwin was talking about a country that had just spent decades overthrowing governments in Latin America, funding colonial regimes in Africa, and dropping Agent Orange on Vietnamese children, while telling itself it was the leader of the free world. In 2026, the country has spent decades overthrowing governments in Latin America, funding the Israeli regime's genocide in West Asia, and firing Tomahawk missiles on Iranian schoolgirls, while telling itself it is the leader of the free world. Walk me through the part that changed. Was it the part where Black Americans have accumulated generational wealth equal to white Americans? No? Was it the part where the U.S. stopped launching coups in countries that elect the wrong government? No? Was it the part where American identity stopped requiring an enemy, a savage, an ungrateful foreign people who don't appreciate what's being done to them? No? Then what exactly isn't the same? The flag is the same. The military budget is larger. The prisons are fuller. The wealth gap is wider. What you mean is: the language changed. The aesthetics changed. The country learned to say the right words. Diversity. Inclusion. Rules-based order. Democracy promotion. Baldwin specifically warned you about that too. He said: "Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced." You have not faced it. You have repainted the front of the building and called it architecture.

One of the flotilla activists who are currently being held hostage and tortured by Israel is Palestinian refugee Saif Abu Kishk. In 1948, the influential tribe of Abu Kishk, along with its village, was uprooted by Zionists, despite signing a mutual non-aggression agreement with the Haganah terrorist organization. Where the village used to stand, there is now a huge compound of Israel Military Industries. Several Jewish settlements were built on the tribe's land, including the bourgeois cities of Hod HaSharon and Ramat HaSharon.

Saif Abukeshek was abducted on April 30, tortured by the IOF aboard an israeli military vessel in Greek waters, and then forcibly transferred to Shikma Prison in Askalan, occupied Palestine. He continues to be held hostage by the colonial regime — targeted for simply standing up for the liberation of his own people. Saif is a father, husband, and major figure in the diaspora in Catalonia where he lives. He is known for his devotion to peaceful activism, international solidarity, and the rights of all Palestinian people. We cannot wait to act. Free Saif, Thiago, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, Marwan Barghouti, and all Palestinian hostages still being held in israeli torture camps and prisons!

The same people who, despite overwhelming evidence, deny that the IDF has targeted children in Gaza, also dispute the claim that Israel committed a genocide. For those still in denial, here are some non-government sources. This brief list doesn’t include the names of the increasing number of international lawyers who specialise in genocide studies and who have reached the same conclusion, including Omar Bartov, Daniel Blatman and Amos Goldberg nytimes.com/2025/07/15/opi… United Nations Entities & Expert Bodies While the UN as a whole operates on the findings of international courts (like the ICJ), several of its specialised commissions and independent experts have formally used the term "genocide" in their reports: * UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry (CoI) on the OPT: In September 2025, this commission concluded that Israel is responsible for the commission of genocide in Gaza. * UN Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Practices: Reported in late 2024 that Israel’s warfare in Gaza is "consistent with the characteristics of genocide." * UN Special Rapporteur on the OPT (Francesca Albanese): Published the "Anatomy of a Genocide" report (March 2024) and the "Gaza Genocide: A Collective Crime" report (October 2025). * UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food (Michael Fakhri): Has repeatedly stated that Israel is using starvation as a genocidal tool. Human Rights Organisations Several of the world's most influential and independent human rights organisations have transitioned from calling the situation a "risk of genocide" to explicitly labelling it as such following extensive investigations: * Amnesty International: In late 2024/early 2025, Amnesty released a comprehensive report concluding that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. * Human Rights Watch (HRW): Concluded in late 2024 that Israeli authorities are committing acts of genocide, specifically citing the "extermination" of civilians and the deprivation of water. * International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH): Formally recognised the actions as genocide in December 2023. * Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor: One of the earliest organisations to document and label the offensive as genocidal. Israeli Human Rights Organisations In a significant development in July 2025, two of the most prominent Israeli-based human rights groups joined this consensus: * B’Tselem: Published a landmark report titled ‘Our Genocide’, concluding that Israel is committing genocide. * Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI): Released a medical-legal analysis documenting the systematic destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system as a genocidal act. Academic & Specialised Organisations * International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS): The world's largest professional body of genocide scholars passed a resolution in September 2025 stating that Israel is committing genocide. * Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention: Issued numerous alerts and statements since October 2023 characterising the offensive as genocidal. * Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR): Filed legal actions early in the conflict alleging US complicity in an "unfolding genocide." Humanitarian & Religious NGOs A coalition of over 37 major humanitarian organisations (including ActionAid, Christian Aid, and Islamic Relief) have signed collective statements calling on the international community to recognise the genocide and stop the supply of arms. Other individual groups include: * Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders): Reported in late 2024 that actions were consistent with genocide. * Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) * American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) It would a remarkable coincidence if all the above have it completely wrong. Israeli apologists seek to redefine the definition of genocide to exclude the Gaza slaughter or accuse anyone using the “g word” of being “antisemitic” or a “jew hater” but the consensus view is unavoidable and not going to go away.

Beyond monstrous. And yet Western leaders are just watching it all. The very same leaders who were always going on about 'human rights' and 'international law' & how bad things are in China & Russia & North Korea. Western leaders are complicit in all of Israel's crimes.

“Go inside, he will kill you” A 14-year-old Palestinian student, Aws al-Naasan, was shot in the head and killed outside his school in al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, after an Israeli reservist took position on a nearby hillside and opened fire toward the school. The Guardian reports testimonies from teachers and students describing scenes of terror, with children hiding in stairwells as staff rushed to secure the building. Teachers shouted warnings “go inside, he will kill you”, as gunfire rang out. Aws collapsed instantly, and his classmates carried his bleeding body along the school wall, leaving a trail of blood, but he died before reaching medical care. Minutes later, the same attacker shot and killed 36-year-old Jihad Abu Naim, whose wife is pregnant with their first child. The killings unfolded amid a surge in Israeli settler violence targeting schools and students across the occupied West Bank. Residents say al-Mughayyir has long been subjected to repeated attacks, with Aws already having lost his father in a previous settler shooting. After the latest killings, classes were suspended as families weighed sending children back to school against fears for their lives. “We want to go back, but our families are afraid,” one student said.
