The reason why you’re seeing so many people “turning” on Trump is simple. In 2024 MAGA needed a big tent strategy for “too big to rig”. So we let people into the tent who aren’t really conservatives, or Trump supporters. These people justified joining the movement by lying to themselves that Trump made promises to them he never did. They told themselves he’s anti intervention, when in reality he’s peace through strength, and sometimes strength means action. Trump took out Solemani, Al Baghdadi, and destroyed the Isis caliphate in his first term. He’s never been anti intervention. They told themselves he’s America ONLY, when he’s actually America FIRST. He has always believed strong partners and a strong presence on the world stage is what’s best for America. They told themselves he campaigned on the Epstein files, when he only mentioned them twice before the election when asked and still ended up going above and beyond to be as transparent as possible and dropped millions of pages when no other president did. These people thought MAGA was a movement that would cater to their wish list of demands, but it’s not. It’s trumps movement and real MAGA stands with him, trusts him, because he’s kept every promise he’s made to US, not them. Like @NobleOne said, they refused to assimilate, and now they’re just trying to hijack the movement, and if that fails burn it down by aligning with the left out of spite, because Trump didn’t bend to their will. Big tent strategy is useful short term, but when you fill the tent with shit, it’s a shitty tent. Gatekeeping is good, ask the Trojans.
