I spent a spell as youth diversion officer in the PSNI. Punitive measures for 10yr olds is counter productive. Criminal records affect their prospects. Alternative methods of disposal, involving input from social services/school/police, support them away from crime & reoffending

The crowd at today’s protest in Scarva has grown significantly through the afternoon. I’d estimate at least 200–300 people now in attendance, with more continuing to arrive. Some attendees are wearing masks. The atmosphere remains active as the demonstration continues.

There should be partner agencies to help with ongoing problems and ofcoarse friends and family. It’s a difficult job at times but we shouldn’t be reliant on others to live our lives.

Just finished watching all 6 episodes of Peelers: The PSNI for real with @StephenNolan and I have to admit its one of the best documentaries Ive ever seen on TV. Honestly had tears in my eyes one minute and laughed the next. The biggest thing for me was, it humanised the officers

Yet another major operation by the Crown Forces against a dignified Republican Sinn Féin Easter commemoration, where there was no masked colour party. All this raises is further questions about proportionality. If this is the standard being applied, then the public is entitled to ask where is this level of policing when the UVF openly demonstrate their presence? Where is their outrage when UDA banners line streets within sight of RUC stations? Policing in the Six Counties is very selective for something that's officially "neutral".
