Per @HockeyAnalytics since the trade deadline Zayne Parekh leads the #Flames in possession time per game. I mentioned on the @Sportsnet broadcast last week that one of his greatest strengths is his ability to command the play when he’s on the ice. He’s starting to do that more and this backs it up. Analytics may be #’s but they can also tell a story. If you don’t think his game has progressed immensely & he has matured as an athlete this season, should probably give your head a shake 🙃 Considering all the adversity both individually and team wise he has faced this season along with being challenged to round out his game, I don’t see how it is possible for a player to have learned and grown more in a single season. Has it been ideal? No. Has it been invaluable? Yes. Just my take 😉

Binner has the worst goals saved above expected in the entire league, which account for shot quality against. Hofer is better in front of the same team, he was last year as well.
