@TejasTekk Hi Tejas. Is yeast protein effective enough? I see the buzz only in India and there are not enough studies that I can find.

You don’t breathe hard during cardio because your lungs are weak (applicable for most healthy individuals)
That’s one of the biggest misunderstandings about fitness.
For most healthy people, the lungs are not the main limiting factor for VO₂ max.
In fact, the lungs usually have more gas-exchange capacity than the body demands during exercise.
They can ventilate large volumes of air, move oxygen efficiently from the alveoli into the blood, and remove carbon dioxide at a high rate. In most healthy people, even during hard exercise, arterial oxygen saturation stays fairly well maintained.
So the lungs often have a reserve.
The problem is usually not whether oxygen can enter the lungs, but whether the rest of the body can deliver and use that oxygen fast enough.

@IndianTintin_ You can try Gold Whey from Bigmuscles Nutrition, it's Whey Isolate is priced around ₹1700 for 1 kg
English

Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein used to be Rs 3000 for ~900g not much long ago, coming to Rs 100 per scoop. Now it has skyrocketed to Rs 140-150 per scoop at Rs 4200 for ~0.9 Kg. This is despite the govt reducing the GST on it from 18% to 5%. My cousin got me same Optimum Nutrition whey from USA a few months ago and it was half the price of the same in India then. Must be even bigger discrepancy now.
Gymbro Biraadars, what brands would you recommend as alternatives? Should I try and get my overseas relatives to bring whey protein or buy it here?

Speaking as someone who runs a brand myself - two products I have personally found very difficult to scale supply - ghee and honey.
Both of them are so difficult to grow supply at the very top end of the quality scale. We barely manage with ghee. Most of the times we just have to throw our hands up and tell customers we have no stock. Honey sourcing fluctuates wildly with season and supplier bonafides are so hard.
Personally any brand that scales ghee and honey - I treat with suspicion. We trace our ghee lots to individual household level. Honey we ensure trace to the village cluster. Both products there is a huge B2B industry now. I keep getting bombarded with ads to buy both in barrels at insanely low prices. It's very easy to fake flavours and aromas in these two products at factories with complex esters. Brands for both - pop up, make a splash and vanish - AI has made it so easy. It's a very challenging period for consumers of these two products at certain higher price segments.

Looking at the adulteration happening in dairy products, recently we have started preparing all dairy products at home. Be it Paneer/Ghee/Butter/Curd everything. Getting our monthly quota of ghee ready!

@PaushaliSahu Check the elemental magnesium amount when reading the label. You will need 440mg of elemental magnesium. Also go for a capsule form as tablets have fillers like maize starch and talcum powder (food grade)
Well being nutrition is a premium one.
English

My trainer has suggested I start taking #MagnesiumGlycinate for better sleep and to help with muscle cramps, but she doesn't recommend any brand.
For those who've actually used it, which premium brand would you recommend in India?
English

@sankitdev I made this using Gemini. The advantage is that this recipe has no added Sugar and you can always get equal protein content. Pintola oats has more soya chunks at top when packet is new vs in the end so there will be some difference.

English

@pizzapurist That's the problem with dieticians in India. They go by food charts and not macros. They will tell you eat an egg for protein (which is good but not enough) but won't recommend whey/plant/yeast protein. Even worse is when they recommend something like Horlicks strength plus.
English

fought a nutritionist today because she told my mom Idlis are a good source of protein & whey is “processed & harmful”, it’s taken me so much time & energy to get my (vegetarian) parents to eat protein consistently and miss ma’am walks in to undo everything in 2 mins. picking my battles as I grow up & this was worth it.

We received feedback on our Whey Isolate Chocolate that the chocolate flavour is good and the mixability has improved compared to previous batches.
However, some of you felt the sweetness was slightly higher.
So for this batch, we’ve used a monk fruit + stevia combination and reduced the sweetness by 1–2 notes for a more balanced taste.

If @narendramodi is urging Indians to work from home to conserve fuel then his government should pass an order directing companies to allow work from home for a year. What does he mean by urging people to work from home? Does he think this decision is at the people’s discretion?

Most people say Doubly Linked List, and honestly it sounds logical because you think the browser needs to store the previous and next pages. Even I used to think the same.
But what I learned is that browsers actually use two stacks: a Backward Stack and a Forward Stack.
We prefer stacks over a DLL because browser navigation is not a simple linear list. It behaves exactly like an undo/redo system, where:
>Back = undo (pop from Back stack, push to Forward stack)
>Forward = redo (pop from Forward stack, push to Back stack)
>Opening a new page after Back = clear the Forward stack
A doubly linked list doesn’t naturally support this behavior. It still requires deleting the forward path manually, and gives no real advantage.
Stacks match the exact semantics of navigation: Last In First Out, simple push/pop operations, predictable behavior, and no unnecessary pointer manipulation.
So yes, even though a DLL feels intuitive, two stacks are actually the cleaner, more accurate way to model browser history.

Do you know which Data Structure is being used for browser’s Back/Forward navigation history???
