The Catch Meter (aka Timing-Based Catching) is a MUST USE in #CollegeFootball27 🎯 If you're not using the catch meter, you're leaving completions, RAC yards, and better catch animations on the field. It lets you make throws, especially against man coverage, that are much less consistent without it. The Best Settings: ✅ Catch Meter: ON ✅ Activation Distance: 0 Yards Setting it to 0 yards lets you green catches on drags, zigs, returns, flats, and other short routes instead of only deeper throws. Getting lurked in my 9-0 gauntlet game. This community makes me sick.

We need timing based swats badly. Greening a swat while a defender is in position should — assuming no crazy height or rating disparity — beat my opponent’s green agg catch.

I understand this is sarcastic and I love it I don’t know why watching a clip does this but if they don’t fix it you guys should try the replay feature that you can do in obs. It’s very easy to click a button on your keyboard or stream deck if you have one and it creates a playback of however long you want. Last 15 or 30 seconds or whatever. And you can watch it on your computer/stream.

I'm 150-0* to start the year in CFB27. Here's how to never lose another game. If you ever get down a possession, start clipping and then rewatching every single play from that point forward. You will ultimately get a desync loss, which you can ethically scrub from your record. This is what some of the best players in the world are doing, Bray1k, FishyJr, etc. *72 desync losses

@TechHoopsGuyCUT Yea no this isn’t true at all. Nobody in there right mind held triangle when switch sticking and you can still hold triangle to use the catch meter. It also doesn’t in fact give you a god animation.

re: new cfb27 feature that's not talked about enough: the catch meter on defense means you can't hold triangle mindlessly while switching around the field holding triangle in last year's game would give you a god animation towards any pass thrown your way. so, you didnt even have to pick between two routes, just hold triangle and your guy would warp towards the ball now, while thinking quickly and rapidly moving fingers to switch a particular route, you have to -- sorta stop and collect yourself -- and then precisely tap a button to time the pick it's a YUGE difference between the two games, IMO, when it comes to the mechanics of switch sticking, even if it does seem small it's also a skill gap that should 100% be in the game. playing the ball in the air is very difficult in irl football. it should be similarly difficult in virtual football, too.

Agree for the most part. At the end of the game the game simply needs to be balanced. That's all I care about. But if given the choice between standing behind a DT in 32 blowing up everything but Draw last year, and this? Gimme the run game. I'll stop it. Just like Madden 20 when everyone said that was impossible, too.

Good first stream of the ‘27 season last night. Ran Virginia on offense and a mixture of single mug, mint, and goal line on defense (12-0 on the night and spoiled a few natties 🔥). I also started a tradition of running this the first play of every game.
