So you're saying Paxton DOESN'T need Cornyn's 900k voters? Then why continue to browbeat us to "unify"? Go win in November with no one but the hardcore Paxton folks. Leave us alone. Good luck.
Mark Davis@MarkDavis

This is insane. “You need us?” How much coddling needs to be afforded to the vanquished in order to wheedle them into the most basic of responsibilities— uniting to beat Talarico? As for that “lifetime of service,” it is tainted by a final chapter of bitter grudges.

Congrats to our new Texas GOP Chair D’Rinda Randall. We’ve known each other a long time — and I can say firsthand D’Rinda is one of the hardest working and steadfast Republicans in Texas. She will do a great job uniting us and leading us to victory in November and beyond!
Dustin Burrows@Burrows4TX

Congratulations to @DrindaRandall and @CoveyTX on earning the nomination to serve as Chair and Vice Chair of the Republican Party of Texas.   Texas Republicans are energized and ready for the work ahead. As we prepare for November and beyond, I look forward to working together to strengthen our party and advance the conservative principles Texans value.   I also want to thank Chairman @abrahamgeorge on his service to the Republican Party and the State of Texas. His dedication and leadership have helped advance the conservative movement across Texas, and I am grateful for his contributions.

The time for Republican infighting is over. The only fight that matters is the one ahead. Today, I addressed the @TexasGOP Convention with delegates, grassroots leaders, party advocates, and conservatives from every corner of our state to deliver a message I believe is critical to the future of our movement. I knew I might receive a mixed reception, but the stakes are too high to stay silent. A bruising primary season is behind us. Now, our focus must be on November. Republicans have delivered historic victories for Texas, but our job is not finished. To keep Texas on the right track, we must come together, rally behind our nominees, and support the Republican ticket from top to bottom. We are one party with one mission. Together, let’s defend our conservative values and keep Texas red.

Incredible speech, Speaker Burrows! Haters hate. Tweeters tweet. Whiners whine. But leaders lead. And that’s what you’re doing. Proud of you and ready to unite and win!

Being offended doesn't put anyone above the law. Here's what happened in this road rage incident. A traffic dispute turned into a major legal situation leading to the arrest of Reem M. Al Dhahiry. Al Dhahiry claimed she was targeted in an Islamophobic road rage incident by another driver. She loudly explains her side of the story to a police officer, claiming that a "white guy" tried to a$sault her on the road by repeatedly tailgating and brake-checking her because she is Muslim. The officer attempts to de-escalate the situation and gather details. He asks her where the incident started, how she maneuvered away, and if she followed the man onto any property. Al Dhahiry insisted that she was the victim and continued to demand for a police report and for the other party to be arrested without giving more details or her ID. After consulting with other officers who were speaking to the driver of the blue Prius, the officer informs the woman that she is being placed under arrest for assault, as the other driver wishes to press charges. The woman denied that she a$saulted anyone and accused the police officers of protecting the other driver because he is white. She requests a female officer, citing her religious beliefs, and a female deputy eventually takes over the search before she is placed into the patrol car. The victim chose to press charges. Al Dhahiry was arrested for Aggravated Assault in a Public Place, her car was towed, and she was booked into jail.

It’s wild how people can completely disregard the safety of others, yet expect sympathy the moment accountability knocks on their door. Reminder: There are no do-overs. Instead of feeding into negativity and drama, protect your peace and appreciate your blessings. Your future depends entirely on the choices you make today. Strive for better.

Jay Clayton is an OUTSTANDING choice by President Trump to serve as Director of National Intelligence. Jay is a proven leader with a distinguished record of public service and sound judgment needed to lead our intelligence community. I look forward to working with my colleagues to ensure his swift confirmation.

The intelligence derived from the FISA 702 program has saved American lives, prevented terrorist attacks, and stopped drug runners from getting into this country. And Democrats are shutting the lights off. It’s an untenable and irresponsible position.

Every time a president tries to put someone in charge of the intelligence community who might actually believe the elected executive should run it, the same group of retired officials activates on schedule. Grenell got it. Ratcliffe got it. Gabbard got it. Now Bill Pulte is getting it from John Sipher in the New York Times. The complaints are always dressed up as urgent, case-by-case warnings about “politicization” and “dangerous choices.” But after the fourth or fifth identical warning, it stops looking like analysis and starts looking like institutional policy: the president is not allowed to choose the leadership of the 18 agencies that report to him. What makes the current version especially clean is what the Times chose not to tell readers. Sipher isn’t some random former station chief who suddenly felt moved to weigh in. His public record shows senior advisory roles with the Lincoln Project and National Security Leaders for Biden ... groups whose entire purpose was defeating Trump and installing his opponents. He signed the 2020 letter that tried to frame the authentic Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation. He defended the Steele dossier when that was still fashionable in certain circles. None of that appears in the byline. Only the 28 years at CIA does. That’s the part doing the real work. The argument itself is ordinary partisan positioning. Run it through a Langley résumé and it becomes “expert testimony.” The New York Times didn’t need to fabricate anything. It simply withheld the most relevant information about who Sipher has actually been since 2014. The omission is the persuasion. Everything else is just set dressing. (article below)

Three things to know about Todd Blanche, Trump's pick for Attorney General. 1) THUG FUND. He's the reason for the $1.8 billion Thug Fund and the free pass for Trump, the Trump family, and related businesses to fraud the IRS. 2) COMEY CASE: He's behind the ridiculous seashell case against Comey and other failed, hollow, vindictive cases. 3) EPSTEIN FILES: He's the point person for damage control on the Epstein files, and he, instead of delivering the files as required by law, gave us heavy redactions, victim-blaming, and spin. Blanche= coverups and corruption. From me.

This is the same guy one hour apart on Fox Business (left) and Fox News (right). The image on the right started the "mask" rumors due to the appearance of a mask line around the neck. The subject, Haward, never addressed the rumors but Fox and his group theorized there was no mask, just the effect of strange lighting. What do you think?
