Being a Man: the Warring Man-credo. Seeing what some young guys are buying into with the "alpha" nonsense I figured I would share what being a Man means as it was taught to me. This has some rough language in it, so sorry if that offends. But this is how I was taught. Well, some of it might have been even rougher when I heard it over a campfire, on a jobsite, or on a long drive with my father. This is about being a Man and living to the code, or credo, that a real man should try to follow. This does not mean that all or part does not apply to being a Woman, but I am not qualified to speak to being a woman. I believe all of the below without reservation and struggle each day to live up to it. As a man, I own up to being a work in progress and continue to fall short, despite the better examples I can look to. Without further ado, below is the credo I was taught and have learned over the years. 1. There is no such thing as “fair”, that is a word we made up hoping to make children feel equally valid and loved while accepting things they don’t like. There is Just and Unjust. There is Right and Wrong. These things apply differently to different people and situations. Dealing with everyone in the same way is not right nor just in many situations. Paying the same wage to a firefighter and dishwasher is not right. Allowing a narcoleptic to be a bus driver is not right nor just. So, every time you hear yourself thinking something is not fair throw that out the window and ask yourself if it is Just and Right instead. 2. Honor, Justice, Humility, Compassion, and Chivalry are ideals that a Man lives to, or he is just an animal and not a Man. A man stands up for what is right and just, even if it costs him. A man says what he means and means what he says. A man keeps his promises and meets his responsibilities. A man is not a bully. A man protects those that can’t protect themselves. A man speaks for those that can’t speak for themselves or are not being heard. A man never raises his hand to a woman. A man never hurts or threatens to hurt those weaker than himself for his own benefit or satisfaction. A man never humiliates or belittles others. 3. A Man loves freely and tries not to hate even those he has to fight. The only thing we build of lasting value is love. All the rest rusts and erodes with time. A man loves his family unconditionally, even when he must disagree or stand against their choices. Real strength comes from love and not from anger or righteousness. If you are not acting from a place of love and compassion you are acting for the wrong reasons. 4. The more powerful you are the gentler you must be, otherwise you are a bully. I won’t abide bullies, nor will any real man. Striking fear in others is little better than hitting them. A two-year-old all bowed up and ready to hit you is not scary, but someone 3 times your size in the same way is scary as hell. If you are a big guy you must act calmly in conflict or you are being a bully. This is true for all kinds of power. Violence or the threat of violence should always be our last choice for dealing with conflict. And if you are forced to it, then make sure you put your opponent down and get the hell out, because you never know when someone might have a knife or a gun. Or a friend with one. 5. The rules for being a man are different than for being a woman. Call it society, nature, or whatever you want. Deal with it. They deal with their own shit end of the stick that is worse than ours, so suck it up. A man raging can be jailed even if not touching anything, and charged with endangerment, threatening behavior, etc. If a woman raises her hand to you, walk away. 6. If you are looking for a reason to feel better about something you did, well then you did something wrong, so own it. A real man faces up to the music for what he does. If you hurt someone you did something wrong. Even if you had to do it. Even if you would have to do it again. Doesn’t matter. Just because you have a reason or no other recourse it doesn’t take away the wrong of a thing. Boys think otherwise, but that is not how a Man thinks. 7. Don’t listen to your friends or your enemies when it comes to being a man. There are plenty of fully grown boys running around being assholes. Don’t be one of those, even if you hang out with them. A real man stands alone when his friends don’t stand up for what is right. 8. Real strength means withholding your power when it isn’t right to use it. Real strength means being gentle especially when you don’t want to. Real strength means getting back up no matter how many times you fall. 9. Real courage means doing what you have to do, even when it scares the hell out of you. Being fearless is stupid a lot of the time. But doing the right thing even when you are terrified and expect to have your ass handed to you, that is true courage. 10. Being a real man means serving God and those that you love. Act with compassion, love, honor, and service and you will be what a Man is meant to be. Men that serve themselves and act with dishonor are no better than spoiled little boys, no matter how powerful they are or what they attain. Being a real man is its own reward. Live this and you will understand it.

@DataRepublican @SKDoubleDub33 Bad actors spin narrative tales often. When considering two competing tales I find Occam's razor to be a good tool for discernment. Stories with few bad actors versus stories with elaborate massive conspiracy are pretty easy to discern probability for.

If ever there was an accurate description of the current state of affairs, this is it. Brings me meaning to “explain it to me like I’m in Kindergarten.”
DataRepublican (small r)@DataRepublican

I'm a Smurf. I've been hired to run counter-intelligence operations at Smurf Village. My role is political; I've personally gone up against the evil wizard Gargamel. But once I'm on the inside, I discover that Smurf Village has a relationship with a goat-riding human boy called Peewit. Peewit isn't a Smurf. He's caused a lot of damage with his antics over the years. Why is he even here? I start digging. I pull up Papa Smurf's history with Peewit. Papa Smurf has been collaborating with this kid for years. Protecting him. Making excuses for him. Why? Peewit is reckless. Peewit makes messes. But Papa Smurf keeps letting him back in. The more I dig, the more Peewit I find. He's everywhere. In every file, behind every favor, connected to every mess. A picture forms in my head: if I'm looking for Peewit everywhere and I keep finding Peewit, the only logical conclusion is that Peewit is the one controlling Papa Smurf. Then a prominent Smurf gets assassinated. They say Gargamel's people did it. Case closed, move along. But I get access to the dead Smurf's private messages. And there's Peewit. Right there in the chats. The same Peewit I've been laser-focused on all year. Pressuring him. Making demands. I bring this to Papa Smurf and his inner circle. I bring it with alarm. Papa Smurf looks at me funny. And then — just like that — I'm kicked out of the investigation. No explanation. Just... out. This is the final proof that Peewit is controlling the Smurf Village. I know what I saw. I have to get the truth out there. So I do the unthinkable. I leak the information.

Dignity & purpose, however, remain manditory. We can't wish away what is about to happen in the medium term. We have to *work* on it. A tiny number of AI HNWI may have to get even more fabulously wealthy at a SLIGHTLY reduced pace if we want to avoid *Revolutions*. Which I do.

ELIZABETH LANE@imelizabethlane·
America, listen up! I don’t know who you are out there reading this. You might be democrat, liberal, conservative, or super liberal transgender, it honestly doesn’t matter. What matters is that there are certain principles Americans must stand together on. For decades there have been forces working very hard to make us forget who we are, pushing us into smaller and smaller categories so we stop seeing the obvious truth, before anything else, we are Americans! That comes first. America is home, it’s mom and dad, the streets we grew up on, the friends who became family, the culture we love and the place where our lives were shaped. That’s the foundation. After that, sure, we can say I’m a democrat or a republican or a liberal or a conservative. We can argue about policies, debate who is right and why and fight passionately over everything, punch each other in the face if we need. But we should never, ever forget that before any of those labels we are Americans and we stand together on the basics! Freedom of speech and all constitutional rights must be guaranteed! This is not negotiable. This country belongs equally to all of us, without exception. And I believe there is at least one more thing a lot of Americans quietly agree on: We all hate the CIA. This organization has done serious damage to this country. The CIA has a documented history of funding terrorist groups that killed many Americans, this isn’t speculation, it’s part of the historical record. That alone should make any thinking person question the role it plays and the power it holds. I think we all agree that this organization needs to be deleted! No American institution should ever operate above the people it claims to serve, and when intelligence agencies begin targeting journalists, whistleblowers, or public figures, that should concern everyone regardless of political identity regardless of who you are. This is not an American organization, this has become a terrorist organization, terrorizing its own people, killing American presidents. This psychopaths have gone too far now. Other countries presidents have died protecting their people from this terrorist agency. They literally gave their lives defending their own citizens against these psychopaths ruled by the corporate America. Presidents like Jaime Roldos, He was known for pushing human-rights policies, resisting foreign oil and geopolitical pressures, he wanted to give the best lives to his people. He did not allow the CIA and the American corporate interests to bully his people. He protected them and ultimately died in the process. He was a good man. And what are we doing? We are allowing the CIA to prey on Americans, to destroy their lives, ruin their careers, or poison them even, again, all these things are documented in history not speculation. Have we failed that much as a society? Because if we have, then what exactly is left to fight for?let’s just give up let’s just fuck it! If we are that far gone as a society, then America is dead and there is nothing left to defend. But I’m sitting here writing this because I don’t believe that. I refuse to believe this country is that far gone. I hope it isn’t, our lives literary depend on it. Now this shameless criminal agency is going after Tucker Carlson. I knew this would happen. Tucker was brave and relentless in telling people the truth. Some listened, some didn’t, and some believed the propaganda they were hearing and learned to hate Tucker. I hope those who are victims of propaganda (in a way, we all are) but especially those who truly believed it, will ask a very important question: Why is it that the CIA is going after Tucker and not someone like Lindsey Graham, who seems to hate Republicans, Democrats, and liberals alike and who just a few days ago told us he is not loyal to America, and that he is loyal to another country? I'm literally repeating what he said. I hope you ask that question. It doesn’t matter whether you love him or hate Tucker, that’s not what’s important right now. What matters is the principle. When people can be targeted for speaking out, regardless of who they are, it is the end of free society and as I mentioned above, that, we all agree on! You might like Tucker or you might hate him that’s your right but any sane American who can still reason should understand something simple, whatever you think about Tucker, no citizen should fear their own intelligence agencies for speaking openly or questioning power. If you hate Tucker, fine but ask yourself whether you should hate a media personality more than you hate the CIA! I’d rather stand with the Democratic Party than allow what I see as a terrorist agency to harm an American. I would defend someone I previously couldn’t stand like Rachel Maddow, before I’d ever allow the Central Intelligence Agency to touch her. That's a promise! So what are we going to do, Americans? If there is still an America left out there at all? What are we going to do? Are we going to keep allowing this agency to eat us alive or are we going to stand up the way leaders like Jaime Roldos stood up for his people and defend our rights and challenge the power that has caused so much destruction both inside this country and around the world? Martin Niemoller, a German pastor spoke about the dangers of staying silent in the face of injustice in Nazi Germany. He said: First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out, because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out, because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me! Now I want to talk to the CIA. Eighty percent of you are psychopaths or carry psychopathic tendencies. For that 80% - go fuck yourselves. There is no point in talking to you. Psychopaths are a parasite to every society, they prey on their own people, so you should not be trusted or spoken to. But there is another 20% in this agency, who are good people. I know for a fact that some of you are incredibly smart, patriotic, law-abiding citizens who truly love this country. You are ready to put your lives on the line for it. So to that 20%, it’s time to remember the oath you took was to this country. The country is not the government, the country is us, its people. Do the right thing. We are counting on you!
