@RickDaSquirrel_ I remember this scene as a kid because I would watch the movies with my older brother and my dad would be silent the whole time and then said "that was his brother..." which is not true but the way he said it traumatized me into having a good relationship with my brother LOL

No like hearing it make a baby cry when dying and other Ewok trying to wake him up was more traumatic than watching Anakin get burned alive. Like this felt real. Like I was actually watching children dying in a war they wanted no part in. Still hard to watch this scene today.

ESB is such a strange film because the more time passes since your last viewing, the stronger the feeling that your perception of it is clouded by nostalgia and that you might've overhyped it. Then you rewatch it, and the film turns out to be even better than you remembered

‘Return of the Jedi’ was released 43 years ago today

This is something dear to my heart, so id like to weigh in. As someone who also cant get around without aids and wheelchairs, there is nothing wrong with this movie and I HIGHLY recommend watching the whole thing. Its not fetish bait at all. Its a beautiful story about a girl who struggles to accept herself and has to learn to let people in through finding her passion and a trust in others. This is something that people with these kind of limitations tend to struggle with due to either not wanting to be a burden to others, struggling to accept that they still deserve love and kindness, or even struggle with self loathing. This movie perfectly showcased those very real issues and how this girl made the best of her situation. The point is, don't let negative comments sway you from seeing a fantastic piece of media that actually shows a little bit of the truth behind these struggles.

STORY TIME: Earlier this year I found out that my neighbors’ 10 year old son is a huge Smash fan, so much so that he recognized Eric and had even went to the last Smash Factor A couple days ago Leo came to Puebla for a tournament and I was housing him for the weekend so I thought “What if I invite the kid and his friend over to play with Leo for a bit?” Since he follows the scene, I knew he’d absolutely lose his mind meeting him and honestly how often does the former #1 player in the world just randomly spawn next door LMAO probably never again so I figured I HAD to make it happen I asked Leo if he’d be down to play a set or two with them and without any hesitation he goes “Ofcourse” 🥹 Thought it'd be just a few games, didn't wanna take too much free time away from Leo's day after all but he actually ended up playing for well over an hour, joking around with them, answering questions and making them feel completely comfortable. I was honestly impressed 😂 that's why he's the goat I suppose Leo couldn't have handled it better and I'm sure those kids aren't gonna forget about this experience any time soon Anyway I felt like sharing this because it’s easy to focus only on the negative stuff online sometimes, but wholesome moments like these happen in the Smash community all the time too and I think it’s important to remind ourselves of that every now and then!
