This is nothing short of a desperate, politically motivated smear campaign that distorts facts to attack the government. Claims made by Congress are not just misleading, rather they are outrightly false designed to undermine India's sovereignty and diplomatic standing for their cheap political points. Here are the undeniable facts that expose their narrative: • The strike occurred in international waters, approximately 40 nautical miles (about 74 km) off the coast of Sri Lanka near Galle that is not in Indian waters and certainly not under India's jurisdiction or control. - The incident reportedly took place around 250 nautical miles or more from India's coastline, which is well beyond India's territorial waters (12 nautical miles) or exclusive economic zone boundaries in this context. - Under established international maritime law (including UNCLOS), no country bears responsibility for incidents in international waters simply due to geographic proximity. The Indian Ocean is a vast shared space involving multiple nations and proximity does not equal accountability or control. Despite the incident being in Sri Lanka’s SAR zone, the Indian Navy promptly launched full search and rescue operations as soon as the distress call reached MRCC Colombo. It deployed a long-range maritime patrol aircraft within hours, kept another aircraft with air-droppable life rafts on standby, diverted INS Tarangini and sailed INS Ikshak from Kochi to continue the humanitarian search for missing personnel. Yet the Congress prioritises anti-government and anti-India rhetoric over truth, national interest and basic facts. This pattern of spreading lies to score points only weakens India's unified voice on the global stage. The Modi government continues to uphold India's strategic autonomy through principled diplomacy, without being dragged into baseless controversies manufactured by the Congress.

MALKANGIRI ANNOUNCEMENT Deputy CM @KVSinghDeo1 Announces Important Decisions to resolve long-pending land rights, rehabilitation & education issues of tribal communities in Malkangiri The Decisions: (1) Fortnightly review of pending land cases: District Collector to review hundreds of pending cases under Regulation 2/56 (as amended in 2002) every fortnight and report progress to RDC Southern and the Government. Regulation 2/56 refers to the Odisha Scheduled Areas Transfer of Immovable Property (by Scheduled Tribes) Regulation, 1956 (amended in 2002), which protects tribal land from alienation to non-tribals. Thousands of cases remain pending statewide due to delays in resolution. (2) Permanent land titles for landless/homeless tribals: Expeditious issuance of permanent pattas under Forest Rights Act (FRA) and OGLS Act; Collector to conduct monthly review and inform the Government. (3) Rehabilitation of Machhkund Irrigation Project displaced families: Permanent pattas to be provided; Revenue & Disaster Management Department, in coordination with Water Resources Department, to work out a long-term solution. Machhkund Irrigation Project is a 1950s hydro-electric project (joint with Andhra Pradesh) that displaced many tribal families; rehabilitation remains incomplete decades later. (4) Quarterly state-level monitoring: Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management, to conduct quarterly reviews of revenue-related matters in Malkangiri district and report to the Government. (5) Irrigation facilities for upland farms: Water Resources Department to soon provide irrigation to upland agricultural lands of tribal and other communities located near reservoirs/water bodies. (6) Access to livelihood schemes: Arrangements to ensure tribal applicants benefit from Chief Minister's Agriculture Development Scheme, PMEGP, and PMFME. PMEGP (Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme), PMFME (Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) aimed at livelihoods. (7) Filling vacant Multilingual Education (MLE) teacher posts: Immediate filling of vacant primary school teacher posts for Koya, Didayi, and Bonda tribal languages by School & Mass Education Department. #Odisha
