The world’s eyes are on the situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region. The Iranian regime’s constant strikes against its neighbors are significantly destabilizing markets and disrupting critically important energy supply routes. Many around the world are now speaking about the protection of energy facilities, the inadmissibility of energy terror against entire nations, and free and safe navigation. All of this is indeed a global interest. Many of these statements repeat what Ukraine was saying back in 2022 and 2023 about Russia’s naval blockade of our ports and its attempts to deprive us of access to global trade. For years, Russia has been doing to our energy system the same thing the Iranian regime is now doing to infrastructure in its own region. There can be no other motive for such deliberate aggression against energy – whether it is Russian strikes on our power plants and gas production, or the current strikes by the Iranian regime against everyone around it – other than to inflict suffering on entire nations. That is why it is so important that global cooperation, at least now, is able to provide real security responses for everyone, including Europe. Strikes by the remnants of the Iranian regime against Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, and other countries are in essence strikes against global stability and Europe’s energy security. Ukraine is ready to join common security initiatives to stabilize the situation as quickly as possible. Ukraine has long proposed creating realistic and effective instruments to hold accountable those who block maritime trade routes, destroy normal navigation, and target energy infrastructure. Ukraine endured this winter under Russian strikes. The Middle East and the Gulf region are now facing the same evil. Russia and the Iranian regime are not helping each other by chance. They must be stopped, and it is the responsibility of every world leader to ensure real stability and guarantee security. Together, we are undoubtedly stronger.

@TallbarFIN Happiness is something else than today's politics. Just now Finland has the highest unemployment figures in EU (and OECD?). Economy isn't good otherwise either. I wonder how many unemployer there was among the responents.

Finland, despite all the russian propaganda claiming otherwise, is succeeding without russia. Imagine how different things would be if we didn't WIN in Winter War.

What about what you’ve said? Did Ukraine attack the EU? Seriously? What about fact-checking? And there’s corruption in EVERY country.. We can talk about corruption in Ukraine because Ukraine is FIGHTING its own corruption.. For some reason Hungarians are speaking out against Orban and one of the reasons is the corruption linked to Orban.. Do read up on it.. Over on X, there are loads of Hungarians expressing their dissatisfaction with Orban because of his ties to Russia..

Finland is the Happiest country in the World for the 9th year running. We also climbed up the world brand index from 7th to 5th. I am often asked why we do well in these rankings. I do not think there is a magic potion, but it helps to have a society which strives towards freedom, equality and justice. The basis of it all is a welfare society, a robust education system, a sense of security and a close attachment to nature. There is no such thing as a perfectly happy society, but providing some building blocks that give us a chance to live a meaningful life, to help others, will nudge us in the right direction during the journey of life.

EU leaders have given up on trying to convince Orban to end his veto on the €90bn 🇺🇦loan, after trying for 90 minutes. The assumption is he will not relent until after the 🇭🇺election on 12 April. So will they move to Plan B (formerly known as Plan A): using 🇷🇺frozen assets?

Just send the money and be damned until Hungary complies with all European regulations to which it has committed itself, and which it is plainly failing to uphold at present. The European Union has every right to bypass such obstruction and proceed with providing the funds to Ukraine. Perhaps that will serve as a salutary moment for the country in the approach to the forthcoming election, and impress upon its people the true importance of membership of the European Union.

Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken
