@JoshuaTCharles This would explain why some nations and intel communities have turned to the occult.

Part of the theory I’ve had since 2020 is that the demonic/human alliance that ruled the world before the Incarnation and was restrained (2 Thess. 2) when the Dragon was bound (Apoc. 20:1-3) has been permitted to return (Apoc. 20:7), and part of this alliance is the impartation of knowledge that has possibly led to massive scientific/technological advances that will, at the proper time, be implemented on behalf of Antichrist. Just a theory. I don’t act certain about these things. But what I do know is that if Egyptian sorcerers could change a staff into a serpent, the demonic is very powerful when permitted to operate by Our Lord, and its operations are deceptive because the intellects of fallen angels understand the “secrets” (i.e. laws) of nature far better than we humans do, and can thus exploit them. So if there were willing human agents, I suspect such technology could be created and weaponized by powerful occult forces. I also believe there are enormous amounts of off-book wealth that could possibly be used to fund such occult forces.

It's starting to become pretty clear that a shadowy group of people have hidden highly advanced technology from humanity for a very long time and are trying to keep it under wraps amidst the ongoing disclosure movement. It's not about hiding aliens it's about hiding technology.

@JustinusRomanus @DoorDashThomist Because you are the platonic ideal of an Augustinian, the ultimate counter-example of the post’s larp accusation. The world needs to see what a true Augustinian and his pony waifu look like

@Tele_us_mock_us @DoorDashThomist All of the posts where I state my real opinions on moral theology are very much Augustinian (i.e. not the ten shitposts that compose the summa degeneratis), idk why you are @-ing me

I noticed the Augustinian LARP disappears when marital ethics get brought up.

@JP8453806834874 @TaylorRMarshall @JoshuaTCharles You’re addicted to this for a reason you don’t yet understand. Often we turn to sins to cover up, like our parents, a sense of shame and fear. We learn this when we are young and so it’s even easier to stumble in adulthood. Instead, imagine Jesus in your childhood, healing you.

@JP8453806834874 @TaylorRMarshall @JoshuaTCharles Coincidence. Regardless, don’t let the devil shame you away from repentance and healing. Satan will try to make you feel “extra bad” for masturbating on a saint’s feast day, but the truth is it’s evil no matter what day. The Lord is merciful. Return to Him and ask for healing.

I am a practicing Catholic. I have noticed that I am tempted, and fall, to mortal sin more often on feast days for saints that are important to me. I never realize it until afterwards. Is this a common issue? @TaylorRMarshall @JoshuaTCharles

@biosimulacrum @RymanHarrison @mikecheck972 @CbirdArcher @Konraddin Absolutely, most protestants do have a valid baptism while mormons don't. The problem is, this doesn't automatically mean they're closer to salvation. You're right in that protestants are closer sacramentally, although this doesn't determine their personal closeness to salvation.

@biosimulacrum @RymanHarrison @mikecheck972 @CbirdArcher @Konraddin No, it's the same for all protestants whether mormon or not. Same for pagans either in the amazon or in Athens. If, in their ignorance, they denied The True God, but in their lives sought virtue (to the degree that they knew how) then we Catholics can hope for their salvation.

@biosimulacrum @RymanHarrison @mikecheck972 @CbirdArcher @Konraddin Sorry brother, but mormons are fully separated from The Church from a Catholic perspective, just like other protestants. Now mormons are especially far when comparing, for example, Lutherans. Regardless, we hope that protestants are just ignorant, and not that they hate the Truth

@RymanHarrison @Tele_us_mock_us @mikecheck972 @CbirdArcher @Konraddin my point was to refute the OP. There's no misunderstanding of traditional "Christian soteriology". You believe that if people (even if they diligently try to come to a knowledge of the truth) come to a different conclusion than you, God will give them eternal conscious suffering.

@Tele_us_mock_us @biosimulacrum @mikecheck972 @CbirdArcher @Konraddin If they believe in the Jesus and father that the Mormon church teaches, they are not saved. While only God knows the heart of man, we are given definitive examples of those who are NOT saved in scripture and following after false gods and false prophets is one of those things.

The alpha in being a cracked SWE has never been higher. LLMs moved the monk vs management split up by 5 years. In years past, software engineers would make the choice to silo or move into management after ~5 years of experience. Now, everyone is choosing to be a middle manager.

“Women will never take accountability for their actions”- every RWer Yes. They aren’t able to “take accountability” because they don’t have internal agency. Same reason why they have constant anxiety. Their brains are built for someone else to make decisions and be accountable

@Tele_us_mock_us @brandon_d_smith No - but in the Middle Ages there was a Council - called the Council of Trent - which does determine what you believe. And it sided with Tetzel over Luther. Just like I believe in the 39 articles.

Interestingly, it’s the opposite. Protestantism’s deepest assumption is that a dominant version of Christianity went wrong in the late medieval period and left behind over a thousand years of true Christianity. That’s not a small claim. It’s the entire premise of the movement.
Garrett Ham@garrettham_esq

Protestantism's deepest assumption is that Christianity went wrong almost immediately and stayed wrong for 1,500 years. That's not a small claim. It's the entire premise of the movement.
