“You asked me on a date, and I said okay, let’s give it a try. On that date, you asked me to order what I wanted, which I did. Thank God, I just ordered stir-fried pasta and chicken with a juice. After the meal, they brought the bill. The bill was about ₦52,000, and you told me to send my part to you. Like is this even normal? You came to me for a date I never told you I wanted one. Imagine I didn't have money or I didn’t come with money for that date, what would have happened? Please, if a guy asks you out on a date, go with your money, because you can be d!s@ppointed oo. I calmly paid the whole ₦52,000 and left. I even bl0ck£d him instantly because, what the h£ck? I was on my own. You texted me that you like me, you want to see me, and now we are seeing, you’re asking me to pay for what we bought? Thank God I wasn't even gr££dy with my order. Imagine I was gr££dy, I would have been disgr@ced. If a guy tells you to come out, please just buy what you can afford and pay...” - Lady stirs debate online after sharing how she paid ₦52k on a date after the man who invited her asked her to cover her part of the bill.

So, here’s the full gist and I just can’t wrap my head around how such a minor thing is breaking a marriage that’s barely 14 weeks old 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽 The husband returned from work and was served dinner by the wife. After eating, he asked the woman to give him soap from the kitchen to wash his hands because it was an oily soup. Mind you, according to the story, the woman was in the kitchen doing something. The wife told him to get up and come take the soap himself and since the wife wouldn’t budge, the man eventually washed his hands like that and went inside the bedroom. Both of them went to bed without resolving the issue. Next morning, Oga told his wife to apologize for disrespecting him like that yesterday and the wife stood her ground and said she did nothing wrong to apologize for. So, they argued and eventually went to work. The husband came back later in the day, and changed the padlocks to the main house gate and returned back to the office. When the wife got back in the evening, she couldn’t access the house and Oga wasn’t taking his calls. The wife went to lodge herself in a hotel and slept there till the next morning. When she came back to the house in the morning, the husband said and I quote “Since you don’t see me fit enough to honor me as your husband, you have no place here anymore.” JUST LIKE THAT Cut long story short, bride price was returned yesterday. I don’t know who to blame amongst the two of them.
ONOME🇳🇬🇦🇹@Onomz_D1

I think the federal govt should BAN marriage at this point. 🤦🏿🤦🏿 WTF do you mean you’re getting divorced barely 14 weeks after you both had a lavish wedding??? 😡😡 What were you both talking about while dating for over 3 years??? I’m coming with the full update……..

This post reminded me of something my late mother once told my elder sister years ago. My sister came home one day complaining bitterly that her husband was always coming home very late after work. My mother listened quietly and then asked her one strange question: “If you finally catch him with another woman, what exactly will you do?” The room became quiet. Then my mother continued: “There are only few things that can happen. You may leave the marriage. You may decide to revenge-cheat too. Or you may stay, fight, cry, and continue living with the emotional pain.” Then she said something that shocked me: “In almost all the scenarios, you will still lose and suffer somehow. So why destroy your own peace every day doing detective work if the man is taking care of you and the children?” That conversation stayed in my head for years. Now, before people misunderstand me: infidelity is wrong. Very wrong. But my mother’s point was more about emotional survival. Some people spend years torturing themselves mentally, chasing suspicions morning till night, turning their home into FIB headquarters. Meanwhile the stress itself starts destroying the marriage, the peace, the health, and even the children emotionally. Marriage issues are rarely simple in real life. My point of view, though.
Àgbà John Doe@jon_d_doe

I honestly do not understand why a married woman of more than 5yrs & with kids, is bothering herself with catching her husband in infidelity by doing FBI & snooping on his phones. Especially when the man is fulfilling his responsibilities. May be she's tired of one dick. End.

A waitress looked at me yesterday and said "Engineer your future wife go try". Because I eat at their restaurant three times a day. She said it jokingly. I was offended. I have been eating there so long they all know me by name. Know my order. Know my seat. She looked at me and said "This one wey you dey eat outside every day, if you marry you go fit dey eat only your wife's food?" I didn't respond. Paid my bill and left. On my way home I stopped and bought gas and a pot. See finish don too much.

A few facts women hate to know about men. - Old babes get no love except from their husbands. If you're in the dating market at 43. You should have exactly zero standards if you want a man. - Your degrees mean nothing. Men will date a feminine HND holder over a masculine PhD holder. The only men in the dating pool who care are those who are looking to leech off your success. - Your success doesn't intimate men. The bad character that comes with it pushes them away. Nobody wants to date Sunday Dagboru. - You cannot keep a man if you lack accountability. - Single mums have to work 3 times harder to bag a man. - Eyelashes, acrylic nails and all that extra shit means nothing to men. - Your past matters. What did I leave out?

When I was in school, whenever it is Salah, the class WhatsApp group is always filled with Eid Mubarak, Eid Kabir and other good wishes from Christians. When it is Christmas or Easter, the group is greeted with deafening silence. Nobody bothers to wish us Happy Christmas or Easter. They'll bring Salah meat for us, we'll eat. We don't even bother returning to school with Christmas or Easter Chicken, because nobody will eat from us. It baffles me a lot. I wonder if it's a taboo.

My son and I travelled from Canada to Nigeria about a week ago As we were praying as a family to leave the house and catch our flight, my husband pulled me close and started praying He said “Lord, as I won’t be going on this trip with my wife and my son, please send your Angel to be with them” We said Amen. As we sat down at the airport lounge in the first layover waiting for our next flight, an elderly white man came and sat beside us. Immediately my son started smiling at Him. This man told me to rest that He was here. He started playing with my son and running around the airport with him and I just sat down resting. When it was time to go I said thank you and we left When I got off that flight to enter the next connecting flight, this man was still on the next one with us He Carried my hand luggage all around the airport. This bad was really heavy He kept my boy super entertained because my son was obsessed with His pointy nose At some point he went and got food and snacks and fruit. He carried my boy all around. And the long layover time passed like it was nothing He was like our bodyguard, carry one help and nanny all in one. Before we boarded the last plane heading to Africa, He told us He was leaving and heading back to Europe. Before he left he looked at me and said “do you know my name?” I said “no sir” He said “my name is William” That’s my son’s name. All the while I never knew. I was so shocked I’m not sure exactly how we stumbled on a man who stood beside me almost my entire trip, helping me so much and making my journey a lot easier All I know is that my husband asked God to send us an Angel and God did. As you start this new week, remember that God answers prayer. In the big and small aspects of life, involve God The supernatural is real and very tangible for those who engage it God is still healing people God is still miraculously providing God is still sending Angels on assignment God is still answering prayers Blessings!

When I found out I was pregnant here in Portugal 🇵🇹, the doctor gave me a document called “Abono.” At first, I didn’t even understand what it was 😅 Later, I realised it was proof of pregnancy needed to apply for a monthly government benefit. To my surprise, expectant mothers here can receive monthly financial support starting from around the 13th week of pregnancy until the baby is born. Coming from Nigeria where pregnancy is usually 100% the responsibility of the woman and her family, this honestly shocked me. It made me feel so seen and supported as a mum 🤎 Mums abroad, did you receive any pregnancy or antenatal support where you live?

10 life hacks for you: 1. Those agberos that always hail you at your street or junction, give them money once in a while. Even 200 or 500 naira is enough. Those people can be more reliable than the police sometimes. 2. Whenever you are visiting a place for the first time, do not focus on the road alone. Read signboards, mark landmarks and take note of key buildings. That information will save you one day. 3. Do not get used to only one route home. Sometimes take a different road. It keeps you unpredictable and away from people who may have mapped your movement. 4. Buy a car before you think of building a house. A car gives you mobility, timeliness and connections. It puts you ahead in ways a foundation in the ground cannot. 5. If a phone dealer is selling you an iPhone 14 or below as "brand new", walk away. Apple has not been producing those models for years. What they are packaging as new is fairly used. Know your product before you enter that shop. 6. No matter how small your salary is, save at least 20% of it every month. Be disciplined about this. You'll thank yourself later. 7. In arguments, stay calm. Listen to the other person fully and be careful with your words. The one who stays composed almost always wins. 8. Your one and a half month salary should be enough to cover your annual rent. If you earn 200k monthly, do not rent a house above 300k per year. You will regret it. 9. Your first salary should go straight to your father. Withdraw the cash and take it to him. Hand everything over and kneel to receive his blessing. Your father is the authority over your life on this earth. That blessing will carry you further than any strategy. 10. Take at least two glasses of warm water every morning, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast. It is good for your immune system and gut health. And when you have a fever, drink at least two full bottles of water. Your body needs it. Above all, love God.
