@Dr_AbbyD @docneto Hi Doc, I think it’s still cheaper when one pays good wages back home. Truth is standard of living is much cheaper. But I agree that underpaid labour is a thing.

@docneto Nothing wrong with relocating, but the employ help cheaply argument always tells on us. It is basically saying the upside of moving back is access to underpaid labour, which is just classism. I just think it should not be part of the headline.

This is one of the reasons why you should consider moving back to Nigeria from the U.S. You will live in a mansion and be able to employ help at much lower costs. Just ensure you return early enough to establish roots and adequate plans before old age stops you.

🚨 NEW: Over 1 million Americans age 65+ are now living with unrelated roommates as rent costs continue to surge. Many seniors who worked their entire lives are now forced to split housing just to afford basic living expenses.

1/ Hi, my name is Isaac Martinez. I am a PhD student in Economics at the LSE, and I wanted to share something personal. On July 6, 2025, I suffered a stroke while I was finishing my PhD. It was completely unexpected and changed my life. #EconTwitter #EconJobMarket

Viktor Gyokeres deal is almost there. Arsenal and Sporting are now discussing who should pay the bill for the hotel where discussions took place. Sporting currently not willing to pay for 12 bottles of red wine. Talks are advancing.

The current challenge in the country is more about elite capture and lack of respect for human rights and a convergence of political elites who are interested in power than delivering good for the people!

Honoured to be appointed the new Executive Director of the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (@CJIDAfrica). This journey, from leading programmes to now steering strategy is a reminder that impact takes patience, vision, and teamwork. I am thankful for the trust and ready for what’s next. premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/…
