Morning Nutteroo's, I remember the frost on the inside of the windows, feeling like you had 50 blankets on top of you in bed, and when you breathed indoors, you could see your own breath in the winter. Potatoes were a staple in your diet, chips, boiled, and baked potatoes, as a large bag was inexpensive. We shared bathwater, and once we finally got a phone, my dad would time me. You did as you were told, or you'd get a whack with a slipper, but we respected our elders and didn't go around stabbing each other. Money was tight, but we had food on the table and were loved.
