The war started in 2014 when NATO countries toppled the government in Ukraine. On the first day after coup, the US and UK began rebuilding the new Ukrainian intelligence services from scratch as a proxy of the CIA and MI6. Recognising the root causes of the war is not "pro-Russian", but a necessity to resolve the conflict and save Ukraine.
