I may have over estimated my own capacity to run a law practice with no assistant. Really getting close to the point where I need to hire someone. I think it would save time (& make money) if the person could answer the phone, handle intake, print docs, and act as a buffer.

@searchbound Late to the party on this one, but still wanted to reply since it's my domain. I have it set to "Request Price" as I have more confidence in an Afternic broker educating a buyer and closing a $49,111 sale than just hoping someone will BIN it.

if you're researching a domain to buy, and see image one (with no price), just visit image two & type the domain name in, and often, the price will be shown on image three (not sure why GD doesn't just show the price on img one, but 🤷‍♂️)

@searchbound Brand ownership is separate from cattle ownership. Buying a brand doesn't give you ownership of cattle previously branded with it. A bill of sale determines who owns the cattle and when they were purchased. Good topic for the @Ranchingcom newsletter!

@searchbound We use Gorgias for our e-commerce stores as it integrates so well with Shopify, supports SMS (we don't use SMS), and phones (we recently switched over from Aircall).

DTC friends 📢 what dashboard do you use to manage customer support: phone calls text messages emails DMs or replies from social (fbook, insta, tiktok, etc) is zendesk only option? we have small team (2 CS folks) suggestions? help.🫠🧅

@clintwfischer Many of our CattleMax customers use CM to keep much of their farm/ranch information in one central place accessible by others on the ranch. We also see many using QuickBooks for accounting and Google Drive/Dropbox for storing SOPs and other documents for easy sharing.

What apps or systems do you use to manage all the moving pieces on your farm/ranch? This DM is not an uncommon question ⤵️

@bryce Our two (8th and 11th) have been enrolled in Ignite Academy since elementary. It's a structured, self-paced (by semester) curriculum like an online college. It has worked great and enabled them to be "in school" from 20+ countries this year alone.

Seriously considering home schooling our youngest for high school. Where to even start exploring that as an option?

@Pv @searchbound We post open positions in our monthly newsletter, so have strong interest from great folks. Being 100% remote also helps. Our phone doesn't have "push 1 for sales, 2 for support" and we only 1 email address. It's about ranchers helping ranchers, not sales and support.

@searchbound @TerrellMiller Hey Terrell So your customers and your customer support are one and the same -- presumably, your customer support are part-time. That's pretty slick. Do they also do sales too? (I have a similar type software company although not in cattle)

@searchbound Thanks! Penny and I built this business in college and it's been a wild journey over the years. It's incredibly rewarding to work with farmers and ranchers whose job is to feed the world.

@sweatystartup My wife and I are remote-based entrepreneurs and our kids have been enrolled in online school for 8+ years. It has its challenges, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Our kids have visited 20+ countries this school year, learning a lot about the world.

Might home school my 7 year old. School in the morning for 2 hours. Rest of day filled with Golf. Music. Bible study. Other forms of play. Get a group of kids to all do it together and collaborate with other parents. Instead of TikTok addiction by 6th grade he’d be a scratch golfer.

@searchbound Not feeling the stats for investment potential (I buy cheap and buy based on stats) and not feeling the term for the cattle industry... we just don't use that term to refer to cowboys or ranch hands.
