Fentanyl tricked a lot of smart but undersocialized people bc they’d hear something like “Be careful, they’re putting fentanyl in cocaine now” And go “WHAT!! Are you RETARDED, man?? Why would dealers pay additional money to put downers in the uppers they sell customers. That’s obviously fake” Everyone else instantly knew it was possible, because drug dealers are frequently just stupid Or they just don’t clean scales between weighing stuff and cross contaminate everything accidentally

Well I thought moving from Ontario to Alberta would be better but it turns out I walk down the street of my new home and it looks like I'm in India and the middle east. The smell of whatever curried garbage they cook everyday is downright nauseating. Is there any place they haven't infiltrated? They gather in groups and stare down any white person that passes by them. Heaven help you if you're walking your dog. We were born here. They've been in Canada for like 5 minutes. If you live in Alberta, please tell me an area in Alberta that hasn't been taken over by third worlders. @ABDanielleSmith When you import the third world, you become the third world

Used to watch my ex-girlfriend spend her last $30 on stupid shit like Kardashian gummies. ‘Girl math’ is to always expect a bailout from daddy, boyfriend or Uncle Sam. If you’re an entrepreneur, they make great consumers

I love how women will be broke af and spend their last $200 on hair and nails, there was that 1 hilarious article that said during recessions beauty spending actually goes UP b/c they're trying to attract a male to provide for them i love women and i love marketing to them

This is fantastic journalism from Global BC. As Cory notes, below - the building where drug addicts & those suffering in the throes of addiction were given a roof over their head....& continued provision of drugs, needles, & other accoutrements to keep the addiction going - full blast. Until the addiction is treated of the people (some, far from all) you see on your streets, & I see on mine - there's only one direction their lives are headed in - downward. Treatment isn't part of many of the activists' plans. A person severely addicted to drugs can't rebuild trust with loved ones, maintain a relationship, hold down a job, or other things as simple as cooking a meal or taking the garbage down the hallway to the compactor. We know this. Data simply tells the entire tale. It's a huge municipal election in many cities & towns this October between people who recognize this - & people who benefit from the fact some of the powers that be don't or won't. Please do watch the story.
Cory Morgan@CoryBMorgan

They took addicts from encampments, gave them a building, & it was trashed. Anybody with sense could see that coming. It's not a lack of homes that's the issue. It's untreated mental health & addiction issues. Treatment first. Not enablement. globalnews.ca/news/11827240/…

An awful lot of y’all are acting like you aren’t a few missed paychecks away from a much rougher life. Don’t forget, you’re a lot closer to standing in line at a food back than you are to becoming a billionaire.

Hello, @SpiritAirlines I was going to go on vacation but my flight got cancelled. Please let me know if I can get a refund on my Carnival Cruise tickets, my rented Nissan Altima, my prepaid meals at Red Lobster and my tickets to six flags.

Something so satisfying about this. I also know the power pole king, never seen someone seed around a power pole with more finesse while ordering $1000 worth of fishing lures on his phone.

A new Hudson’s Bay kiosk in Canadian Tire at HuntClub/Merivale in Ottawa… As of yesterday, May 2nd, HBC was 356 years old. Canada’s Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) was incorporated by Royal Charter on May 2, 1670. It was one of the oldest continuously operating companies in the world, now relegated to a kiosk selling striped oven mitts & such.

It’s really annoying that we realize children need a summer break and several vacations a year because they attend school, but we think it makes sense for adults to work 40 hours a week all year and probably get 2–3 weeks off in a whole year if you’re lucky.

If we banned alcohol tomorrow and started arresting people for drinking, we wouldn’t end alcohol use. We’d create an unregulated supply run by organized crime that would eventually see people dying from what’s in it! Sound familiar?

This is one of the downsides to measuring and analyzing everything: it makes people neurotic. Air has about 21% oxygen, the rest being mostly nitrogen, nitrogen, and CO2. An increase in CO2 of 1000 ppm implies a decrease in oxygen of 0.1%. Humidity, or water vapor in the air, can displace oxygen on the order of 1%. So the nightly build up of CO2 this person experiences results in oxygen changes 10x smaller than natural variations due to humidity changes. There is no problem to solve here. The solution is to simply stop worrying about CO2 concentration.
@levelsio@levelsio

I still haven't solved the CO2 bedroom challenge You open the window and you wake up from a 6am garbage truck or barking dogs and sunlight You close it, you suffocate in 1200 ppl at 5am I guess you really need some mini tube in your wall with a vent that opens and closed based on internal CO2 but how do I build that?

Diplo owns a 60yr old sheet of Timothy Leary’s LSD. Weird to some, but not that different than game-worn Jordan’s or Paul Newman's actual Rolex Daytona. These niche areas of collecting are growing rapidly, and origin pieces are going to get MUCH harder to find.
