Cheap labor, not always the best labor.
Looser regulations means building is relatively easy but the quality may be less.
Find a contractor friend, he can point out the little and big flaws.

As a former crash out myself, ignoring people is way more powerful. It’s not even about “being the bigger person” in a moral sense. It’s more like moving differently. When you don’t react, you force everything back onto them. Their chaos has nowhere to land, so it echoes back.

@arkdee06 I grew up in Canada but my parents are immigrants from Barbados but it boggles my mind meeting some black Americans FROM New York city who voted Trump in. Trump got sued by black New Yorkers for refusing to rent to them. It’s really bizarre & crazy to brush it off smh

@GaytriotGannon @vivianaketter Lmfao I had one waiter threaten to fight me a couple years back when I tipped 10% for garbage service. I only did tip 10% as I didn’t wanna stiff the people over because it was covid. Craziest experience ever 😂

@simonelias22 @vivianaketter Very true lol. I always semi regret giving a good tip to a driver who takes forever or unreasonably long. Had a guy say “bad weather” & it was a perfectly clear, sunny, low wind. I would have respected him more if he said car issues or “restaurant was taking longer than expected”

@vivianaketter @Y2SHAF I’m all for tipping well but doordash tipping is backwards. Leaving a nice tip doesn’t guarantee a quality and speedy driver.

@TheOnlyLisaRhea @Y2SHAF @vivianaketter The machine will beep if you didn’t tip 20%. So the payment wouldn’t go through. It’s crazy. I usually tip 15-20% for good service, but being prompted to tip minimum 20% is too much & the self serve kiosks as well is just over the top lol.

@G_Funk760 High demand = high prices. A lot of major cities across the US, Canada, UK, Australia be like that. California & Australia got the nice weather premium. I’d rather pay $2,200 in LA vs the $2,200/month in Toronto where it’s cold, cloudy, windy for 4-6 months of the year
