Evaluation Series: Sydney Hubbard 1:29 — recognizes pressure instantly, trusts the read, hits it vertical. No hesitation. No wasted movement. This breakdown focuses on what consistently shows up on tape: • Processing speed • Decisiveness • Finish through contact Film tells the truth. @SydHubb_Baller

💡💡💡💡💡✖️2⃣ #SAthleteSpotlight 🛫Forney, TX🛬 ‼️‼️2028 STAR RB/ATH‼️‼️ Sydney Hubbard🔥 @SydHubb_Baller👀 Forney High School🏫 @FootballForney🏈 📽️Review📽️ 💡Sydney Hubbard, an explosive 2028 running back and all-around athlete, brings a package of speed, power, and awareness that jumps off the film from the very first carry. He’s not out there running aimlessly — he’s reading, reacting, and hitting holes with intent. Every time he touches the ball, you can see the work and discipline behind it. And before anything else, I’ve got to give a personal shout-out to @SydHubb_Baller and Terry Powell @TerryPowell_1 — two absolute dawgs who waited on me to get my stuff together before I could properly highlight their grind. You don’t see that kind of patience and character often, and it says everything about who they are on and off the field. God bless you both. The program at Forney High School has quietly built one of the strongest cultures in Texas — a place where competition is fierce, expectations are high, and the standard never drops. You don’t just wear that black and gold; you earn it. Sydney is a perfect example of what this program stands for — discipline, confidence, and pure drive. There’s a swagger to the way he plays, but it’s backed by preparation and respect for the game. Let’s hop right into it — at :07, this kid shows an initial burst that’s on another level. The play doesn’t need much breakdown — it’s just straight acceleration and trust in his read. You can tell immediately he’s operating at a different speed. Jump ahead to :16, where he shows his patience, setting up his blocks and taking on a “wannabe tackler” head-on. This kid’s physicality for his age is wild — not only can he take you laterally, but he’ll take you head-on just to remind you what kind of back he is. At :22, we get an advanced jump cut right by the DB for a big gain — something you don’t see often from a 2028. The footwork is fluid, the balance is there, and he turns what should’ve been a short gain into a highlight. Then at :32, it’s the “I’m better than you” play — no need for analytics there, just pure confidence and domination. Keep rolling and you’ll see it again — diagnosing early, showing patience, lateral agility, a lil-man stiff arm, and finishing through contact. Advanced instincts, balance, and the control to pop it to the edge while staying square — that’s next-level awareness for a kid his age. At :47, you see his ability in goal-line situations. Low pad level, leg drive, and a determination to finish the run. He’s not just trying to get in — he’s trying to drag half the defense with him. Then at 1:29, he recognizes a blitzing linebacker out of a defensive look I can’t even label cleanly — reads it instantly, blows it up, and goes straight up the middle unafraid of nothin’. That’s the type of player I want — the kind that doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t dance, just trusts his read and runs through whatever’s in his way. It’s old-school football with young-man speed, and it’s beautiful to watch. As you continue through the reel, this kid just shows unlimited want to. Every rep, every carry — there’s no quit in him. Whether it’s first down or fourth, contact or open field, Sydney runs like he’s trying to prove something every single snap. That’s not teachable — that’s who he is. And what I love most — Sydney seems to recognize his own strengths. He knows he’s bigger, he knows he’s faster, and he knows defenders feel it. But it’s the little things — the instincts, the eye discipline, the way he reads his blocks — that truly set him apart. Those traits don’t come from just talent; that’s film study, repetition, and football IQ far beyond his years. It’s rare to see a back who runs with this kind of raw intent. Sydney doesn’t just finish runs — he ends them. Every carry looks like a statement. Pads low, legs firing, eyes locked — he’s daring defenders to step up and test him. You can feel the confidence, the attitude, the “I’m coming through and you better deal with it” energy. He’s not dancing around contact; he’s hunting it. And while he’d succeed in any system, I’d love to see what he looks like under center — old-school style — where his vision and burst could shine behind a lead blocker. With his strong base and thick lower frame, he’s also the kind of back who could become an exceptional pass protector. That combination of power, awareness, and grit makes him a complete weapon. Hubbard’s motor and competitiveness are elite. He runs angry but focused — downhill with a mission. There’s a confidence to his stride that tells you he knows what he’s capable of. He’s the kind of back that keeps defensive coordinators up late because there’s no one way to stop him — he can beat you with patience, power, or pure acceleration. I’m thankful I chose to cover this program because it’s full of players like this — hard-working, humble, and fearless. Forney keeps breeding that mindset, and Sydney Hubbard is the standard-bearer for it. What stands out most is how advanced his feel for the game already is at his age. The footwork, vision, and timing jump out immediately, and there’s still plenty of room to grow physically. I’ll be the first to admit — it’s tough to project 2028–2030 kids, because they’re still developing, learning, and finding their ceiling. But when you see this level of IQ, effort, and anticipation already on film, it’s hard not to take notice. Hubbard’s one of those young players that makes you pause and think, “yeah, this one’s different.” THIS KID IS THE PURE DEFINITION OF AN EVERY-DOWN BACK — DON’T GET IT TWISTED. A college-ready frame at a baby age… well, I’m old, so yeah — a baby to me. But the tools, the mindset, the maturity — it’s all there. He’s built to handle whatever you throw at him, and that’s what makes him special. He’s a clear Division I talent in my eyes. Call me crazy — but I see about 75% Clinton Portis, 25% Jamaal Lewis in his game. The speed, the vision, the bounce-out ability like Portis — but that Lewis-style power and finish when he lowers those pads. It’s that rare mix of finesse and force, and you just don’t see it much anymore, especially at this age. Projection-wise, Sydney Hubbard has all the tools of a Division 1-caliber running back and offensive weapon. He’s fast, intelligent, and plays the game with intent. With Forney’s culture and coaching behind him, the upside is through the roof. I love this kid — his burst, vision, and toughness pop off tape. As a 2028 prospect, he’s got unreal upside. Another one I have witnessed deserves way more attention from this great program. These younger kids get me excited — I just want to help them get more exposure and the recognition this young man has earned🙏💡 📼Check the Tape!📼 @247recruiting @On3rivals @On3NIL @On3recruit @On3recruiting @Rivals @MaxPreps @ChadSimmons @AdamGorney @brandonHuffman @CoachBox6 @marshallfaulk @WarrenSapp @DeionSanders @CUBuffsFootball @unc_bearsfb @theyoungcoach @coachpazak @RECRUIT_X hudl.com/video/3/270937…

💡💡💡💡💡 #SAthleteSpotlight 🛫Forney, TX🛬 ‼️‼️STAR 2028 LB/ATH‼️‼️ Terry Powerll Jr. 🔥 @TerryPowell_1 👀 Forney High School🏫 @FootballForney🏈 📽️Review📽️ 💡Terry Powell Jr, an explosive 2028 outside linebacker, plays with a mix of instinct, IQ, and controlled aggression that jumps off the film from the very first snap. He’s not out there guessing — he’s reading, reacting, and striking with purpose. Every play looks intentional, every pursuit calculated. You can tell right away this kid studies the game. Forney’s known for producing tough, disciplined ball-players, and Powell’s the next in that line of dogs who don’t take plays off. The program at Forney High School competes in Texas Class 6A — week in, week out against serious competition — and it shows. The Jackrabbits are built on physicality and pride, turning out players with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. It’s the kind of football environment that sharpens kids like Powell into tone-setters. From the opening seconds, his awareness jumps off the screen. At :16, it’s almost like he already knows what’s coming — easily setting leverage, cutting off the edge, and shutting the play down before it develops. At :33, his IQ pops off the tape again. Ain’t easy reading that play, but he trusts his eyes, stays square, and makes it look effortless. Then at 1:25, he shows that same ability to pre-diagnose, reacting before the snap even finishes — shooting his lane and completely erasing the run. By 2:50, you get one of my favorite plays on tape — he drops into his zone with great eye discipline, keeps his eyes up, reads the quarterback perfectly, and attacks the ball carrier on cue. There’s not a ton of coverage film yet, but what’s there shows he’s just fine — poised, aware, and confident in space. At 3:20, it’s more of the same — easily diagnosing the play, maintaining leverage, and flowing downhill with precision. And at 4:32, this kid shows you he ain’t playin’ — coming downhill with bad intentions and closing with force. That’s tone-setting football. Terry’s motor is relentless. He flies sideline to sideline with aggression and control, attacking under balance and finishing through contact. His pursuit angles are clean, and his awareness pre-snap shows leadership beyond his years. He’s not just reacting — he’s setting the tempo for everyone around him. Watching this kid play, it’s easy to see why Forney’s producing so many dogs. I’m thankful I chose to cover this program — the culture, the effort, the discipline — it’s all showing up on tape, and Powell embodies every bit of it. What stands out most is how refined his game already is for his age. The footwork, awareness, and discipline jump out immediately, and there’s still room for even more growth — especially as he keeps developing physically. I’ll be the first to admit, it’s tough to project 2028–2030 kids because they’re still growing, learning, and finding their ceiling. He’s quick, cerebral, and plays with next-level poise. Forney keeps producing dawgs like Sydney Hubbard (@SydHubb_Baller), and Powell’s next in line to keep that reputation alive. I like this kid — his IQ and pre-snap awareness pop off tape. As a 2028 kid, he’s got unreal upside. Another sleeper I’ve found that isn’t getting nearly enough attention from this great program. These younger kids get me excited — I just want to help them get more exposure and the recognition they’ve earned.💡 📼Check the Tape!📼 @247recruiting @On3rivals @On3NIL @On3recruit @On3recruiting @Rivals @MaxPreps @ChadSimmons @AdamGorney @brandonHuffman @CoachHartCU @unc_bearsfb @theyoungcoach @coachpazak @recruit_x
