@dmbkparker Brother was a SH60!instructor, spent time in the SIM. No way you can land successfully without practice. I took off & flew on frist try. Landing was another thing and he said I did better than actual pilot trainees.

Clarity has been requested so here it is: 1. No previous helicopter / sim stick time. Any learning is watching or reading. 2. Takeoff to at least 10’ 3. Landing must not cause a major maintenance action (i.e. you can’t just dump and crash) Still think it’s doable?

@Michael_L_Rauch @Tesla Happen to me as well (I’ve purchased 4). Very suspicious and 100% confident it was damaged in shipping and they repaired it. I’ve been an auto damage appraiser for 30 years and absolutely could tell it was fixed, they refused to acknowledge it and it was take it or leave it.

Cancelling my delivery appointment for my new @Tesla Model S Plaid an hour before the appointment has got to be one of the worst new car experiences in a lifetime of lots of car purchases. @Tesla pushed me to schedule a delivery earlier for this past Wednesday, I agreed only to have it pushed back to today & then to be notified an hour before I’m supposed to pick up that I’m pushed back again. Seriously? Y’all didn’t know yesterday or first thing this morning? 🤦‍♂️

Lots of F-14 talk over the past week. The crazy dream of Iranian F-14s getting a second life on the U.S. airshow circuit—rescued by an avgeek billionaire or a well-organized GoFundMe—now appears officially dead, as it looks like they’ve all been destroyed. We captured these photos in 2004 at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona, when these were recently retired U.S. Navy F-14s. Sad to think that not long after, most of these went into the shredder because of Iran.

We stay at The Polynesian a lot, but no matter how many times we do, I always have to watch the Electrical Water Pageant at least one night while we’re there. I can’t believe this has been running since Disney World opened. I hope it never goes away.
