When vulture populations crashed in India in the 1990s, rotting livestock carcasses sat where vultures used to clean them. Feral dogs and rats took over the cleanup, both of which actually do spread rabies. Researchers later linked the vulture collapse to roughly 500,000 deaths in India over the following decade. The same collapse is now underway in sub-Saharan Africa. Six of eleven African vulture species are threatened with extinction, primarily from poisoned poaching baits. Deliveries pushed to 2027. Palmer Luckey took the first production unit. MrBeast flew one down the California coast. The whole point of buying a Jetson is the permission slip that comes with it. Everything else is just hardware.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty upset about @Tesla forcing me to upgrade by discontinuing the Model S, my favorite Tesla by far. So it was get my dream car now or never. However, the upgraded seats, carbon fiber, interior lighting, white interior, black diamond paint, and just Plaid in general (drives so much better), and full self driving, makes it all worth it 100x’s over. I couldn’t be happier. I look forward to enjoying this car for a long time. P.S. @elonmusk bring it back!

Yesterday I drove my @tesla 900 miles on FSD from Miami to Nashville and I realized it’s genuinely the better option. I fly that route 2 to 3 times a month. Flights are never under $400. Most times $600. Sometimes $800. Add Uber to and from both airports, or parking garage fees. Then factor in the delays, the cancellations, the security theater, the chaos, the guy next to you who hasn’t met deodorant yet. On the other hand: I pack healthy snacks, press one button, and the car just goes. I took calls. Replied to emails. FaceTimed my family. Ate without pulling over. Did everything I normally do on a travel day, except none of the stuff that makes travel days miserable. My biggest concern going in was range and charging. Here’s what actually happened: My bladder needed one extra stop the car didn’t even suggest. Most charging stops were under five minutes. Total cost for the whole trip was less than just the uber to the airport. And this was the base model Y. Now I’m thinking I should get something comfier and just make this the default.

Its always weird on Google Maps following driving instructions, when you decide to override it, then it recalculates the route and then it's 10% faster and shorter. Like why didn't it think of that in the first place. Somehow this becomes a good metaphor for AI and how to use.
