The events of Saturday night were horrifying. It is difficult to believe that this is the third time President Trump has faced an assassination attempt. I am thankful for the many law enforcement officers who responded, in particular those who secured the shooter before he could harm the president or anyone else at the event. Political violence is never the answer, and it must end.

@JoshuaLisec I’m very aware of that. They were inspired by Christian principles derived from the Bible, which was primarily written by Jewish authors and features a Jewish Messiah. My point was that tossing aside biblical values was a mistake.

US does not have “Judeo-Christian roots.” Our Founders took some inspiration from the organization of the wilderness-wandering Israelites under Moses. But our values as a people are explicitly Christian. Judeo-Christians are called Messianic Jews. About 250K total in America.

Thankfully, that same commitment is now carried forward by our 45th & 47th President, who has endured the most unbelievable trials, accepted every risk, and works tirelessly every day to ensure that America is great once again. May God continue to protect and sustain him.
